The Banting/LCHF Thread

.... it was probably the flaxseed. I tasted that twice and haven't touched it since. I use almond and coconut flour for breads only now, much better.

..... Life Bake is king, their stuff is awesome

I love the taste of flax seed flour - so much so that in my breads I have decreased the amount of coconut flour and increased the flax seed.

Probably, just play around until you get the flavour you like. I havent found changing the type of flour content makes a difference in the bread texture, whereas adding eggs or oil does

Have a look at recipes for "Cloud Bread" but it's normally a mix of eggs, backing powder and coconut/almond flour. Can't stand flax seed myself.

try that with mac nut flour and add some extra seeds ... comes out gr8 and doesnt cost R60 a loaf!
 
why so quiet guys .... something happening the weekend ... all biltong and cheesed out!
 
I wish they were cheaper so I could eat them more often, but at that price I'd rather just buy more meat...
