The Banting/LCHF Thread

We're struggling to find an alternative to bread for our one son's lunch which he takes to school. Any suggestions? He is 8 years old and a bit overweight.

Closest thing I've found is the "carb clever" bread at selected WW.

It's ridiculously expensive but does it for me especially with boiled egg and plenty of butter.

P.S. before going that far, has he cut out all forms of sugar?

I have been purchasing a seed bread mix from:http://bantingblvd.co.za/collections/banting-blvd-products which is awesome but it has vanished from their site. I see they now have a seed and almond bread mix which I intend ordering next time around. Their products are superb!

First ingredient on the list is Malitol? Be careful, eating too much of that apparently gives some people explosive diarrhea

Had the Banting magerita pizza at emperors. Was okay for 60 bucks. Had to roll my slices to eat it but it tasted okay.

I posted a pic a few pages back with the mozzarella, almond/coconut flour base. Much better to make your own.

My daughter had a friend over and my wife decided to make them chocolate squares (she calls them doodskissies). Anyway, it's been months since I last had something sweet over my lips, so I helped myself to a few (quite a few). Jislaaik, was I sick last night.
