The Banting/LCHF Thread

I used the accelerated weight loss method. Opiate/amphetamine abuse daily for 3 months made me go down from 104Kg to 82Kg. Quitting was a bit difficult but **** Tim Noakes and the diet that he vomited up.

All of your troll posts seem to be exactly two lines long on my computer. You got a random troll generator program or something?

I tasted some cricket flour bread this weekend at the monthly banting market at the botanical gardens on Saturday. Edible and apparently higher protein than beef.

Feel *** today. Had way way too many carbs and feel sick. Nothing physically but mentally.

Last time I went from straight from abstaining from carbs to overdoing them, I felt physically sick. As in my stomach & intestines wanted to divorce me and made the point incredibly and painfully clear :D

The guilt's never great, but temptation's always around.

I fall off the wagon regularly :D
It's difficult when working away from the office. The only food to eat on the road is mostly junk and the food on the planes are the worst.

Made waffles from ground sunflower seeds this morning

They came out great, sturdy enough to sandwich bacon and cheese between them without breaking, no crumbliness, but still soft and chewy (almost like real bread!). The ingredients are also much cheaper: no R350/kg almond flour, no coconut flour, no cream cheese.

On the negative side, they're much much more dense (and less airy) than bread, they feel more "heavy" (not sure how to explain it). And between the 4 waffle squares (2 sammiches) they're something like 14g of carbs, so that's half the day's quota gone if you want to safely stay in ketosis. So, not an every day thing, but will probably become a weekly affair.

I had mash with butter, pasta and sponge cake with cream and sugar icing. Feelsgoodman. **** Tim Noakes.

So...

I have been banting for 3 weeks. Down 10kg+/- and now stabilized.

165kg >> 154/155kg no more movement.

I have had 0 sugar 0 bread(group)

Stuck to the green list only.

Any tips on how to speed up the loss again? I need to shed another 5kg to get on the scale at home, that has been my first goal, not to have to weigh myself at work with a ****ty oldschool weighed scale.

If I could just get on the scale and be less than 150 I will be completely re motivated.

Recipe? Why don't u just put 2 waffles in the plate and out the bacon and stuff on that? Why must it be a sandwich? Only 7g carbs then.
