Ok, gonna sound like a n00b. Wait... I AM a n00b. /me cringes at scary self-discovery moment. I tried the instructions above and I can't see the files in the list of battlerecorder files in BF2. I tried copying to ALL profile directories, restarting BF2 numerous times etc. Now I'm out of ideas. I'm running the 1.12 version so it cant be that.

Any ideas regarding what I'm missing? I really want to see what an online battle with humans only looks like ;)

How did you go wrong ? Copy paste, watch ?
 
well... clearly I'm doing something stupid because when I go to community, battlerecorder I don't see any files. Perhaps someone else has done the same stupid thing and can tell me what it is?
 
i named my folder DEMOS and it didnt work.. i renamed to demos and it worked!
 
ok, gonna try creating a demos folder and put them there. Some say it must be in mods/bf2/demos (ie, in your game install dir) and others say in Mydocs/profiles/default/demos.

Will try both and report back tomorrow. If anyone cares ;)
 
On my machine, it goes into the my documents folder...never heard of it going into the game directory unless it was a custom installation option...

yip... you need to put them in the mydocs/Battlefield2/Profiles/Default/demos folder. Then it all works brilliantly. I had a good laugh at Razer0 trying to blow up the blackhawk by chasing it around with the MEC equivalent strapped full of C4. Oh, and I think it was also him who jumped onto an enemy tank, lay down and started lobbing grenades at his enemies. Blew up quite a few I think, they never figured out where the grenades were coming from. Looks like good fun, can't wait until I can join..... Now just have to get the Telkom techies to come and do the install :(
 
Lol ya that was such a *** game for me, not one MEC suicide success :( Normally on the normal sgs servers i get it each time.. sigh instead i land up with -8 points, lol

Oh well.
 
I noticed that you didn't bail out before detonating the c4, so you must have switched to one of the "cargo" positions to do it? Why didn't you just crash into the blackhawk? Or is it more fun using c4? ;)
 
Thats why its called Suicide, lol. Chuck 4 c4's on the front, right click to pre-detonate position, jump in, power up, chase BH, press F4 at crucial time and detonate :D

Ramming it up the arse will just give it pleasure and simply shake it off
 
Drusky, they are all 9-10MB big, except for blgserver1qaul1round2.bf2demo, which is only about 7 MB. Must have been a quick round :)
