Yeah, not sure how the markets will react. There may be a bit of a depreciation, but unlikely to be major, and could bounce back on a weaker dollar. It would've been really bad if both downgraded SA, as that would've triggered the sell-off. I bought in again on BTC though, as I reckon the BTC price will outperform the Rand considering it's continuous gains and possible Rand weakness.

Anyone realize that Bitcoin Diamond was forked yesterday? Coin count has increased to 210 Million, so you will get 10x your current holdings.
It has replay protection enabled too.

Another attempt at money grabbing.

Is there some sort of protection from being charged fees on Luno when placing orders? I just got charged over R1000 in fees because someone placed their sell order a few milliseconds before my buy order. What a waste.

I'd prefer having an option for the order not to go through if fees are going to be charged when not using instant buy/sell.

Unfortunately all orders are final.
It sounds like the order was placed on the exchange. If orders are placed quickly it's always risky placing orders close to the spread.

Click quicker:D

Seriously though, I never put buys/sells when spread is just a few, far to likely for that to happen. I get luno need to make money, their buy/selling fees were fine back when it was R10k etc, but now eish, I think they need to rework their fees. Maybe knock it back a decimal point or two /shrug

It should be simple enough to have a tickbox in the settings:

"only place order on exchange if no fees are calculated"

If I wanted to buy/sell with fees I would just use the buy/sell option on the homepage and wouldn't use the exchange.
