and the convinced hodlers keep saying this without a clue why the price is what it is....2 sides off a bitcoint:whistle:

Frankly, I don't care, as long as things go up and down, I trade them and profit from them. That is the bottom line. I trade BTC and alts and it has been going extremely well :)

OK, so what are you? Use your total crypto portfolio value (for example, owning 2 BTC's worth of ETH counts as 2 BTC):

Also a crab :o

...but at least I've already withdrawn all my initial capital (plus a small profit)

Yeah, octopus myself and I have done the same, withdrawn original investment + a bit extra as a treat. Now risk-free :)

I'm at shrimp level and I'm worried as hell about the price. How do you keep calm having so much invested? ^^"
I got in last year in May and have not bought in since. I've already cashed out my initial investment. I rode the ATH from last year with Ether, Antshares (NEO), DGB, Siacoin and they are only recovering now.

Was lucky that Bitcoin went up and sort of balanced my portfolio.

The golden word: HODL

Yeah I was 40k in and 40k out with shrimp btc left and crab eth.

Now to pay the tax man and I'm leaving this long term.

Don't really care what the price does. Although I have prefer the pumps. The dumps are necessary though.

Yeah, the dang tax-man. Eish.

You gonna pay as Capital Gains, or as normal Income? The tax is what is keeping me from cashing out more of my gains at the moment. Waiting for the new legislation coming out in the next few months... Hoping it will be a low-ish rate for cashing out crypto-profits..But knowing our government, I don't have a lot of hope...

As far as I know only Cgt applies at this stage with sars to give clarity in the next few months.

Hope it stays cgt but I doubt it.

Have it all on record and this was in my personal capacity so I suppose it's only Novembers worries.

remember this is not what i bought the coins for...its what they are worth now.

i put in less the 100k rands overall.
Very well done

How long have you been trading?

I have 1 question though. When do you know when to sell?
Let's say I made 100% profit, and I then sell, but then can't buy that coin for as cheap again, feels if it's better just to hold even longer... Still trying to wrap my head around when to sell. For now hodl.

And then if you did make good profit, how do you get the next great coin at a decent price again

Everyone Relax! The Crypto dip was caused by Mike Bell of JP Morgan claiming Governments could ban cryptocurrencies. Well ... how? This is the same company that called BTC a fraud. It's a bank FFS. They are rightfully terrified of what we are doing. But it can't be stopped.

JP morgan buying crypto's again lol

I doubt this dip has much to do with confidence in the technology or "bubbles™".

Looks like we've been played by the big boys.

Buy Bitcoin to run-up the price before futures open. Short the futures. Sell the coins you bought, days before settlement. Viola! Instant market manipulation in a bottle! Anyone have data/evidence to substantiate this theory?
