The guys with a Trezor - how is your experience with it? Cost and how long to ship it here?

I kind of like the Ledger Nano S, so still torn on which one to get.

I remember that feeling :) (all worth it once you see that magical 1.0 )- invest smart and you will be smiling soon. 5 years from now, when you tell someone you have ONE, FULL BITCOIN, they will be in awe :)

Only 21 million, EVER!!! :)

How long before all 21 million are mined and in circulation?

It's grown on me. Let me put it this way even though I intially wanted a Nano S I'll be getting another trezor.

It cost me about 140 dollars worth of bitcoins for the trezor, otg cable and DHL shipping. Customs was around R370.

It got here in 4 days, and that was after it did a mini tour of Europe first.

Yoh, so who else thinks we'll be hitting R40K per BTC today?
Almost there... :D

It just about did this morning. What's interesting is that when you looked at the trades coming in they were all low volume except for one sell trade whic h sat there selling 27+ bitcoins for 40,000. My guess, bots playing the system getting "fools" to jump on the bandwagon before a big "fire sale".

Th Luno exchange graph doesn't show it (maybe it passed too quick) but I saw that price at 39994

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Think I need to get one of these puppies. Might just wait until they have the Cryptosteels back in stock and then get everything in one go.

All my HUSH has been traded. Time to see BTC take it steady past $3000. Good times.

What altcoins do you guys recommend investing in?

Remember, don't take trading advice from others - rather do your own research and make educated investments. Nobody else you can blame if your investments go up in smoke, only yourself.

That being said, I have the following in my portfolio:
1. Ethereum (no-brainer)
2. ETC (Ethereum Classic)
3. NEM (New Economy Movement)
4. WAVES - been holding since the first day of the ICO and always buying more. Entered the top 10 cryptos last week. This makes up the bulk of my portfolio. You can "lease" your Waves while they sit in your wallet - earning you rewards. "Leased Proof of Stake" model.
5. Litecoin (meh, why not)

ZrCoin look interesting, ICO coming to an end soon if I remember correctly.

I usually browse bitcointalk, see something interesting, read up on its roadmap, engage with the developers, and exposure (exchange listings), and start mining. I had better return with HUSH than mining on Nice Hash, then I trade, also had a good run with Komodo and many others. I mainly put my attention to HUSH and are also pro-actively involved on their Slack. Just don’t go out and do it, do your research.

My pileups at this stage are exchanged to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I only trade on Cryptopia, with lesser known coins, and Bittrex.

Read up why it is not a very popular coin. Not a proper decentralised crypto. Doesn't mean one can't make profits from it in the short term though :)

Nice, very much my MO as well. I do Polo and Bittrex mostly. Actually did my first trading on Yobit.net - I didn't know better. LOL! :)

Blockfolio is a good app to have, it is constantly open on my tablet next to me.

It's actually really low still imo - we're usually about 30% more expensive locally and we're currently at less than 10%

MyCelium also an option on mobile.

Trezor and Ledger Nano S (with seed backed up with a Cryptosteel and stored away SAFELY) is basically your most secure long term cold-storage options.
Correct hardware wallet is where you want to be if you are serious/ie have quite a stash you don't want to lose/cant afford to lose.
