Guys a nutcase

lol, yeah.
So he predicts around fourty trillion, eight hundred billion market cap (assuming 17 Million bitcoins at 2,4Million USD) in 3 years.
Suuuure, Mcafee, good luck with that. Idjit.

Bloody hell these network fees are insane.
Just sent like R50 worth of BTC to my new Exodus wallet to test with and the fees alone were like R80+...
:wtf:

Let's hope the Segwit2X implementation sorts this out soon.

EDIT: Thanks for the Exodus suggestion. Really liking it so far. Much simpler than I thought it would be, might just stick to using it.

I don't see this going well. It's going to be a rushed implementation and will likely not include everything that they've promised, but it will survive because it's being backed by a relatively large group.

Bitcoin cash already has a leg up on them and is much more scale-able due to an even larger block size, however, it has it's own list of problems.

Bitcoin Cash Has Arrived To AvaTrade

AvaTrade is excited to announce that we added Bitcoin Cash to our large range of trading instruments. The new cryptocurrency created by the Bitcoin hard fork on August 1, 2017, made a new version of the blockchain with different rules.
By switching from the main Bitcoin blockchain to a new version, the software now has capacity for larger number of transactions.
AvaTrade is one of the first brokers to offer trading for Bitcoin Cash. You can find it on our MT4 platform under the ticker BCHUSD.

Again, DO NOT USE THE ELECTRON CASH wallet for Bitcoin Cash. It's super buggy. I have no way of getting my $$ out at the mo and been waiting on an answer from the devs since Sunday.

Guys, since it's technically possible for someone to track your Bitcoin transactions on the block chain if they can link you to your Bitcoin address, does that mean SARS or/and the SARB can one day order you by law to pay taxes on your gains? I know some of us don't wish to pay the taxman if we can help it.

It will happen eventually, it's inevitable, but not in the very near future, I don't think, creating legislation is a slow process. Currently, only if you convert your bitcoin to Rands (or dollars or whatever) do you need to pay tax.

Yes

I'll definitely pay tax if I convert to the Rand. I guess we shall wait and see.

Not to deviate from this thread, but does using Monero really hide once's activities and bank balances? Even from SARS in future?
