Thor, please tell me step by step how to resolve this.. it was a big amount of money
Phoned luno. Argued with them for 2 weeks.

In your case, give it 48 hours then call them and give them the reference number you got from the bank ie the proof of payment.

Stay calm. That's very important your money is not lost Absa is just earning interest before they send it to fnd or is it FNB that's earning interest before it goes to Luno I can't remember how the banking pyramid scheme works.

Gentlemen, I need advice.. I went onto luno last night and transferred money to luno.. but this time I used my dads ABSA account for money.. so I chose absa on luno and it gave me FNB bank details to make a deposit.. I made the deposit last night and it still hasn't reflected.. its over 24 Hours.. could there be a mistake?

up to 2 working days to reflect if eft is from bank other than fnb..if no resolution contact them(LUNO) or pick it up with their "rep" here on mbb.

Took a screenshot of this so I can remember when I'm off forum.. thank you Thor.. I hope I didn't mess up.. I just want the money to come through quick so I can buy more BTC

You'll are all amazing when it comes to helping and advice.. I was stressing my mind off and didn't know what to do.. thanks guys

I'm sure @lunomoney will see your post and be able to give you some advice. I'd really just wait the 48 hrs before worrying.

Completely normal for ABSA to FNB transfers. It can take a long time. Don't stress. Everything will be fine. No need to contact Luno. It will be processed.

Just replied to your PM, if the payment has come from ABSA you need to wait for standard bank clearance times. Remember that'll be a longer wait if the EFT is done outside of your bank cut-off times.

Please also know that depositing ZAR from a bank account other than your own is a violation of our terms. Deposits and withdrawals need to be done via a bank account that's in your name.

Please see my PM for further details.

I've been in this long enough to know next week all is back to normal some will be a little richer and some will be poorer because they panicked.

Perfect opportunity to buy some more, exactly what I did.

Real question: I wonder how interest really works for a bank. Lets say you make a mistake and they hold onto your R100k deposit for two weeks before transferring it back to you. Do they go and buy bonds/stocks for R100k, sell it after two weeks and stash the interest? Unless they do something like that then I don't see how they could be generating any interest with your cash.

Plenty of people here have been saying that for the last month. i.e. Time to buy and hold. Anyone who followed that advice would be in the red now.

I thought this is how all banks work lol...
They invest the money you deposit.

So you are only into BTC investment for a 1 month horizon? Son, you need to re-evaluate if you want to invest in the crypto scene. It takes balls and patience. If you have neither of those, please rather buy some product from a Bank.

These "Plenty of people" know what they are talking about.

I have a couple of K in my Luno account. Wondering if I should buy now or wait a while longer.
