Does anyone know if there is a altcointrader rep on here? When will they adjust their bitcoin cash withdrawal fee? At the moment sitting on.02 (which calculates to about R400 - R500 just to move your money into another wallet? ...)

I can change that in a second by offering to buy at R165 on Altcointrader. Certainly don't want to though. Luno's price indicates congestion IMO.

More like your order will execute at market price and you won't move the price at all unless you buy enough to crush walls all the way to R165.

ETH also dropped R900 in 2 days.

This is why when you HODL you shouldn't refresh daily/weekly.

Luno bitcoin HODLers vs new users right now.

When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bitcoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my d1ck if wrong.

Bet has been increased lol

is it normal for luno transactions to show different price ?

i bought when it was at 159 and 160 and luno shows transactions at 163 or am i missing something

Haha so there was a bit of panic selling last night? :p

There was panic selling as well as calculated selling.

I cancelled a sell order at R167k to sell when the price was at R162k. By the time my BTC reflected a while later the price was R159k. I still sold at R159k because it was going to go down further as I wanted to buy back in for cheaper. It took over 20 minutes for my ZAR to reflect and by that time the price had gone done to R156k and bounced back to R165k.

So I lost a lot on the sale and was unable to buy back in. My decisions on what to do were sound given the situation, but the huge Luno delays cost me like 8% or so of my holdings.

It was at 156 for a few moments only. I was expecting it to drop waaaay down, but it didn't. Because I don't really know what I'm talking about :o :D

I would have instant bought as soon as I saw it turn. Have the 100 BTC trading volume so fees are 0.5% instead of 1%.

They did it with me as well, getting no response from luno support or lonumoney rep. Utterly disgusted. Changing rates after an order has been confirmed at a certain price is tantamount to fraud. Currently moving my funds to altcointrader. Sick and tired of Luno, their glitchy app and their support that don't give a fook.

I wonder if in 2 years' time, we will be facepalming and wondering why we didn't buy in at R240k :crylaugh: :o

I trade so it doesn't matter to me whether the price is R100k or R1mill. The main thing is sufficient volume, liquidity and a bit of volatility. Also an exchange that works for traders.

Buy buy buy sell sell sell.... On the Singapore exchanges, drops by S$600 then up again In minutes lol. At 3am it was down to S$12800 now back to $14200.

My opinion.. facepalming.

Why ? 4 -5 years ago, I bought Bit coin for R9k... and sold it when it dropped a few weeks after. Lost a few bucks. Now? That coin would be R80k+

Patients, very early days still, check back in a few weeks, you'll be saying thank god I got it so cheap:D
I hope so. I bought Ethereum when it was high and's been steadily dropping :(

Are you holding or do you trade?

ETH is really solid - the smart contract feature is amazing and will have many uses in the future.

Also it is one of the more established alt-coins out there - it's not as random as other cryptos about when it goes up & down (less volatility as well).

Look you're very unlikely to get a $200 increase in ETH in a day - it's more of a steady growth coin - but just as true, extremely unlikely to go down $200 in a day as well.

I'm keeping ETH as a long-term hold. If you want to trade, BTC is a better option.
Thanks for the insight. I'm most def just going to hold Ethereum as a value investment.

Do you trade Bitcoin? if so what is your % increase looking like? is 10% a month realistic?

consider 10 IOT / 20 LTC / 35 ETH / 35 BTC

Is this on altcoin? How is the platform compared to Luno?

Good to have 50/50, eth has good tech and btc is the OG of crypto's so will always go up!
Cool, thanks.

So much red it was beautiful, and then luno balances didn't update so no one could buy back in, had already recovered by the time people were able to get back in
