I haven't been following this closely, but looking at the timelines over the last few days it appears that when the BTC/USD price starts dropping there is often panic on Luno and it drops way more on Luno than on the big exchanges. Then, a few minutes later (and literally within minutes so you can't even go to the bathroom like I did), there is a recovery back to a more reasonable price that is aligned to the other exchanges. Does this sound about right?

yes -- small holders panic selling, smart buyers picking up the pieces

Yup, I've noticed the same too. Think maybe some South Africans are far too invested in it and are really worried about losing money so they panic sell. Then others just buy during the dip and the prices return to those more reasonable levels. I might be wrong though.

LOL, this is what ANOVA has been reduced to

So you sell when a slide starts, and buy again hl when it starts to climb? Risky stuff.
I though HODL was don't sell at all. Just ride it out.

School me please...

No, don't sell. Just buy more when it dips.

I usually sell when I've made X% on my principle, then I take my principle amount out (+ maybe a bit extra) and wait for the next dip.

You can just HODL as well and buy more BTC in the dips. I'm playing the crypto game a bit more carefully though so I like to take my principle amount and just play around with the profits.

Guys if I put money to my luno wallet and it doesn’t go the way I expect.. would I be charged to draw my money back to my bank acc?

There is a charge for that. You can go through the process of withdrawing, and before you confirm the withdrawal you will get a summary of the transaction, including the Luno fee and the net amount that will be deposited into your bank account.

Well if fiat withdrawals are going to be facing the same fate as btc withdrawals - it seems you won't be seeing your money again anytime soon

I withdrew last week and it appeared in my account 2.5 days later.

Yeah that was last week - I guess you have not seen the withdrawal issues in the last 24 hours

As I said, if the same thing is going down with fiat, the penny will probably start to drop in the next 48 hours

Yeeooow took a while for my deposit to go in but at least got to buy a bit at 195k, was hoping Id get at 150k
At least that can average out my last buy in which was a tad high :D

Now we wait for it to climb again. exciting times for the non panic sellers :crylaugh:
