Some background:
Miners were running in a mining facility set up purely for ASIC mining, kept very cool, and well ventilated at industrial scale. For the past couple of months most of the miners have not even been mining, waiting for some upgrades to land.

TL; DR - please buy all of them so I can upgrade :p

How profitable are these miners?

Doing it at scale is still profitable, but there are a lot of variables - i.e. where do you mine, industrial vs commercial vs home power, which pool you mine on, which mining software you use etc. I have a couple of small mining operations which are really profitable (when compared to its size and costs), and bigger ones which are a bit less profitable (when compared to the size). Considering I am selling the miners for 1/10 of what they originally cost, it is not an expensive way to "tip your toe" into the mining space. Setting up an ASIC is also much less effort than setting up a GPU based rig (especially with how finnicky OS's can be)

On the flip side, FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) is causing a lot of people to panic sell crypto, and get out of mining. The less people mine, the less "complex" the coin becomes, and the more you should also earn (super over simplification, but to illustrate the point).

On the flip side, mining crypto is still effectively turning "electricity money" into "crypto money", and your crypto might be worth 100x more in a year, or it might be less :P. You should manage crypto like you would a high risk investment with any bank. Crypto is not a "get rich quick". People dont check how much their money in a bank earned them every day ;)

More than happy to have a more detailed chat if you are interested :) (Feel free to drop me a PM)
