The Black Vicki Momberg

If I am not mistaken, the two main deciding factors in Mombergs case was that she showed no remorse for her outburst combined with the particular word used, I think that if this does go to court I doubt it will have the same outcome because the defendant will simply show remorse in the form of a apology.

PS Not defending the person in the video, its still blatant racism.

What I find more disturbing is the several comments on twitter where they claim its "simple swearing" just glad there is a person or two responding to those setting them straight.

Since I don't have a persecution, victim and inferiority complex, this video doesn't upset me at all, but from a legal consistency point of view, she should get exactly the same as Momberg.

The real racist thing to do is not prosecute this woman because it would basically imply that black people's comments don't matter even if they are racist lol.

So what caused it?

Apparently,

Maroela Media hears the incident took place at Wingate Park in Pretoria on Thursday at 01:00. According to information, the woman's car allegedly swung across the road and hit the sidewalk. Security guards prevented her from calling the police because they believed she might be under the influence of alcohol.

With the police's arrival at the scene, the drama played can be seen on the video. On the video it can be clearly heard how the woman calls a security guard repeatedly a "f **** n white k ** t".

"Yes, I said that! I said that! And it is recorded b *** h. And I tell you now, it will be on national television, "said the woman. It can also be seen how a police officer tries to calm the woman. The video has since been widely distributed to social media.

...

According to Kriel, the woman in the video was not arrested on the scene because the police did not catch herself behind the wheel of the vehicle. However, this information could not be officially confirmed to the police.

Google Translate got the bolded part wrong, ‘ontbied’ in the applied context above means that the security called the police and prevented the woman to leave prior to their arrival.

Whether there is more to this, I don't know.

She will be advised to show remorse and going by case study. The one thing repeatedly highlighted at every Momberg hearing was, "no remorse". I guess the one and only example was already made.

That I find truly disheartening, if she was under the influence and there was witnesses action should have been taken by the police, at very least she should have been booked in for "drunken disorderly conduct".

I agree, but sentencing will be completely different if she does show remorse.

Eventually.

An enraged Pretoria woman, who appeared to have lost her temper, hurled insults at police who attended a scene that appeared to have been an altercation with her and another woman.

Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said they were aware of the incident that occurred in the Lyttelton area.

Miller said they were busy with external and internal investigations.

"We are currently busy with an investigation into the matter. Once we have been able to complete our investigation and establish exactly what transpired, we will then be in a better position to comment," Miller said.

In a video doing the rounds on social media, the woman is seen hurling verbal insults at a white woman, saying "she messed with the wrong b**. You will see what happens when you find out who the f*** I am."

The woman seems to be shouting at another woman that does not appear in the video, calling her an "uneducated c**t".

She continues to call her a “piece of white sh*t and retarded white b***h".

She goes on to say the woman is an "uneducated c**t, just because you are white, you piece of sh*t".

Directing her anger at the officers, she tells them that they are all uneducated "pieces of sh*t".

She tells the police that, "as for most of us, we have masters (degrees), b***h motherf****r".

She goes on to say, "b***h, you think this is your mother who sold us for R20… And I am telling you this will be on national television".

At some stage, the woman is held back by the police, while she continues with her verbal onslaught.

She then refers to the police as uneducated "pieces of s***."

I hope she shows remorse and apologizes profusely for her actions.
She may have been intoxicated, she may just have a bit of concussion from the accident. Not my place to judge.

I really don't see the need to be braying for blood. Like Terry Pratchett put it, the IQ of a mob is the amount of people in it divided by the IQ of the dumbest member (or something to that effect).

Intoxication or confusion led to her showing her true colors.

Pretty easy to judge her character and whether she's a racist scumbag from the video, don't know why you can't/wont do that in this case

Just equal justice is what most people are hoping for, and displaying remorse (hard to tell if its honest) should only have a minor impact on the sentencing, and doesn't change the verdict.

What accident?

So is white c better or worse than black c, I am confused?
Would that determine the level of the compliment or insult?
