Anyone had a look at the Blender game engine known as UPBGE?

Blender used to have a game engine, but it wasnt further developed. Is this any good and how does it compare to unreal? Did they built on top of the old engine or have they drastically improved it?

I wonder what happened to this add-on, as far as I can tell it still hasn't been released, they said to "stay tuned" in Jul 2023.

There is a different add-on available on Patreon but it requires a few more hoops to jump through to import cities / buildings into Blender.

Seems Blender is getting some AI features. I'm happy to see AI for "object mapping", ie, for making UV maps. Long overdue if you ask me - unwrapping models is super tedious.
