I'm busy doing exactly that right now, using EaseUS Data Recovery...I would prefer not to format it , what other options do I have ?

Copy the data off that one partition before doing the recovery on the other one. It will save you PLENTY of time.A strange thing, I went onto the shop floor quickly, came back and the blue light was solid, went to my computer and bot partitions are showing up now...
I can access one of the partitions..... the other causes my Pc to get confused and it keeps trying to access the partition.
Let me get a copy of EaseUS Data Recovery as MickeyD indicates and see what I can salvage from the drive....

In all honesty, I cannot recall what the contents of the drive were, but remember getting error warnings on it a year back and making copies of those files all over my home network....

Get your data copied ASAP. Copy sector-by sector to a new drive or a file. Then you can start file recovery.
