What would be interesting to know is the SA breakdown of M2 sales for stick vs two pedal options. How much % split.

Preview: BMW M2 CS Coming in 2018
BMW will be introducing a very special version of its critically acclaimed M2 in the near future AND in will be available in manual guise only.
The BMW M2 CS will follow a similar strategy to the M4 CS – it will be a hardened, more powerful and lighter track-focused machine. It is said to be revealed later this year with the production run beginning in 2018.
This artist's impression of the M2, supplied exclusively to Cars.co.za, shows an M2 with the same treatment as an M4 CS. Bits to be added to the M2 CS are a lightweight carbon-fibre reinforced plastic bonnet and rear diffuser. It’s also likely to get a fixed rear spoiler and a new front splitter. Brakes and suspension will no doubt get an upgrade and the wheels will be especially lightweight. From what we’ve seen with the M4 CS, it will also get a set of super-sticky Michelin tyres to help improve traction.
According to various reports, BMW has dispensed with the upgraded 235i/240i engine that resides in the current M2, and will transplant the M engine from the M3/M4 into the M2 CS. It could be slightly detuned so as not to step on the toes of the bigger brother, but we still expect the peak output to be in the region of 300 kW.
The most interesting rumour around the running gear surrounds the gearbox. A source close to the testing team that spoke to us said that despite all the focus on M-DCT transmission and a switch to an 8-speed automatic for the upcoming M5, the M2 CS will be offered exclusively in 6-speed manual guise.
A manual-only M2 CS makes perfect sense as a pure driver’s car and, in the opinion of various aficionados, will cement the M2 as the best current M car in the BMW lineup...

More information on the BMW M2 CS
The M2 GTS by Alpha-N offers a close look at what an M2 CS might look like.
The BMW M2 CS is pretty much a certainty after being spotted testing in different environments. Late last year, we reported on rumours that this hotter version of the M2 would feature the current M4’s twin-turbo 3,0-litre straight-six engine, codenamed the S55.
Recent information sourced from Car magazine UK seems to suggest that this is now more than just a rumour.
According to the publication, the M2 CS (codename F87) will feature a detuned S55 engine that should deliver 300 kW and 500 N.m of torque, the former figure substantially more than the M2’s 270 kW. Torque looks likely to stay the same.
It will also lose some weight – 25 kg, to be exact – thanks to an aluminium roof, carbon-fibre panels and thinner glass.
While the top speed is not known, it is rumoured that these improvements will result in a 0-100 km/h time of 4,2 seconds.
Apparently we can expect an official reveal of the M2 CS at the Geneva Motor Show next March, with first European deliveries kicking off shortly after.

I was behind an M2 recently and today a 235i and I must say the dimensions of the 2series are just perfect, I don't know what more BMW could have done, the proportions are just spot on hey.
