The BMW X3 Thread

Doing our annual Jhb to mosselbay, usually I try eco to see how far I can stretch it, today, not so much, and it’s still doing well

This the diesel ? Wanna know about the ix3 lol

I wanted to, I really really wanted to, however the mrs was carrying on about the last stretch of our trip would have been a bit out of her comfort zone, bla bla bla

Apparently If we were going from Jhb to cape town , no stress. However to mosselbay would have been a bit of a gamble especially with the mountain passes and trucks, with the gap in charging stations between Beaufort West, And George/ mosselbay

Easter holiday we usually shoot down to kzn for the long weekend, will take the sparky on that trip

@FiestaST You heard of any trickery to disable the ASS at all?
I've seen the load sport to comfort settings & start in that mode trick.
Mine used to stay off once turned off but since the last software update it comes back on after a restart.
BMW reckon no can do anymore.

Hmm, sounds almost liked they plugged that loophole. Sorry can't help.

Take a chance & ask on Bimmerpost perhaps?

I'll fiddle with my bimmercode app and dongle tonight, see if i can find a setting for this, i've got mine set up to always start in eco, and a few other things

Thanks, that would be interesting, i see some guys are using that to startup in sport individual with the settings put to comfort where ASS is then disabled.
Vehicle off/on for me doesn't seem to make it stick to sport on restart up either so is kinda just as easy to hit the ASS off on startup.
Being older (2018) i at least still have a button to hit.

Is a conversation here about it - sounding like not possible but those posts are 2023 maybe something has changed.

Did mine somewhat recently and I know the setting is there. Works okay still on a 2019 vehicle
