sounds promising, you managed to code it off?

Thanks, that would be interesting, i see some guys are using that to startup in sport individual with the settings put to comfort where ASS is then disabled.
Vehicle off/on for me doesn't seem to make it stick to sport on restart up either so is kinda just as easy to hit the ASS off on startup.
Being older (2018) i at least still have a button to hit.
Is a conversation here about it - sounding like not possible but those posts are 2023 maybe something has changed.

Can we disable auto start/stop via coding?

Yebo. I’ll connect to Bimmercode and show you the option later today if I remember
Thanks guys, so off scanner shopping i go - even if it don't work i can at least win by coding the default startup in sport individual option.
Need to do some homework here , Any opinions on a scanner to grab or to stay away from?

Is there a means to code out the fake engine noise? This is the one I use
BimmerCode is useful for tweaking stuff, you can really brick a module , although I did once get my head unit to not boot, luckily, every change you make , BimmerCode makes a full backup before hand, so a quick restore and it was working
I use this : https://www.takealot.com/vgate-icar...-obd2-code-scanner-car-for-ios-a/PLID70540105Thanks guys, so off scanner shopping i go - even if it don't work i can at least win by coding the default startup in sport individual option.

Got it from Amazon but seems they are now in SA.
As mentioned by @BouncyNinja just purchase the BimmerCode app (R500 odd). and the scanner and you are good to go.
Bimmerlink as well if you would like to clear your own codes and register your own battery etc.

i had the icar one, it cant read the body domain control unit, hence getting the OBDLinkBet that was a happy face restore eish
I was also looking at that icar one but its not on the Bimmercode approved list anymore(apparently it used to be) & wasn't too sure to risk it or not & ended up going for the vLinker BM+ which i found local for R1100 versus the R2K from Amazon US for the one Bouncy has.
Says G series so cross my fingers.

in theory, possibly, my cars dont have the fake engine noise, not even the electric oneIs there a means to code out the fake engine noise?
So odd, mine works fine and also on a G01i had the icar one, it cant read the body domain control unit, hence getting the OBDLink
It works with my G series x3's
on my old g20 ( 520d) it wouldnt play nice at allSo odd, mine works fine and also on a G01
I paid that with Apple tax, was R999
you can do a bit more than the dealers can ( or are allowed to ) with the software as well , as an example, i have video in motion activated, with child , who sits in the middle of the back seat, can watch crap on the idrive screen, pointless, but child enjoys itWon't be no complaints if it works tho huh.
Mine was in for a service yesterday & i was hounding them that i wanted the ASS settings put back so they would stick when turned off, they told me there was no way to do it but amongst the conversation was they would want R13-1400 just to plug diagnostics in so if this costs me R2k to do & keep it i'm not complaining.
