Nope. Had read that they are really bad for one's knees.@strontiumDog, you wouldn't happen to be doing leg extensions would you?

even so not really, provided you have a fairly active lifestyle and are eating the right carbs![]()

Ok goodNope. Had read that they are really bad for one's knees.
I've long been pro-carbs. 99% of people don't share my sentiment though.

Science is not on your side.
Saw a post on fb saying 9% of male competitive bodybuilders have an eating disorder and its about 20 % for the women :wtf:
Moral of the story, if u have any kind of eating disorder history don't compete as you are asking for trouble.
Bit of a random question there? I'm currently injured with a shoulder impingement and even before I got injured I was hardly doing dumbbell press. It was a dumbbell press that injured me though. I was doing 20kg dumbbells for 5 reps at the time of my injury, bodyweight of 62kg. My bench press never got greater than 60kg (for reps) that I can recall maybe two years back with a spotter. Without a spotter I've never tried more than 50kg for reps. The past year or so I've not been going to gym enough to really get back to increasing strength. How much do you lift? maximum with dumbell press
