The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

The problem with relying on your actual body weight numbers is that you may just be putting on fat and then eating more then putting on fat ... Vicious cycle.

Great advice, don't ever use the scale!(unless it's for weight specific sport that divide's you into a specific class like boxing etc)
Progress pic once a week and take measurements and keep comparing to the oldest one. That's what I do and recommend.

results look good bro, take progress pics with your arms down to compare properly.

Thanks bud, I do have those I do bunch of poses but the problem area for I think 90% of guys, is the lower abs and sides, so I opted to post those.

What's your total calories per day

Macro's?

Hi all,new to supplements and starting gym this week,i dont want to buff or gym myself into the hulk

Just want to shed weight on problem areas and look good

Which fat burner works ?

Plus what can i use to get the muscles going ?a friend told me he used havoc and it worked great for muscle gain

You shed weight everywhere, just takes longer around the middle as there is more fat mostly (well, in my experience).
Best fat burner IMHO, HIIT (google it ;) ) or also basically anything that keeps the heart rate between 130 and 160 I think...

Also you can try clean whey protein immediately after workout but rest of the day eat clean whole foods. Creatine is good for energy but causes water retention for some, and some bcaa's do help prevent muscle breakdown and protein absorption.

I would like to know the cardio and or HIIT regimes you guys follow. My imagination is a bit limited there. Always looking for new things to try!

i know HIIT

reason i want to get a fat burner for 1st month is i've been on cortisone medication for 3 years and left it 2 months ago and have all that swelling still ,i dont want to live on the fat burner ,just let it give me that start and work with healthier foods and good cardio sessions

I have no clue man. I eat when I'm hungry as long as it is clean. I have friend going into macro's and stuff, but I don't. Don't want to make it a science/chore so I don't weigh the foods etc.

My protein shake is about 40 grams per serving (I double the dosage :D ) and I think it has 5grams of carbs per double serving

Morning is oats and some egg whites
Lunch is a large portion chicken breast salad with beet root, pepadews, broccoli and some avo
Dinner is chicken breasts, steak or lamb with with broccoli and mixed portion veggies

snacks through the day is nuts and bananas and I have some whey again at about 8pm.

That you were on cortisone is irrelevant and if anything even more of a reason to avoid certain supplements, especially a fat burner.

Start off with the basics, get your body working properly without supplements if possible.

You have to get the basics right, then you add other things later on if you're doing everything else close to perfect.

Just my 2c, hopefully the others back me up on this.

I've never used a fat burner, but I think it would mess me up. I am too easily affected, even by coffee.

+1
Yeah get the engine clean and train basics for maybe a month or two on a clean diet, then add supps. You'll feel a bigger boost and results IMO.

Are you a herbivore? :P

Dont even joke dude... So today is one of the 2 days in the week i am vegan (for religious reasons) and i'm struggling guys.

Any vegan BB's diet ideas? especially hitting those protein numbers and keeping carbs low.... I use an extra protein shake but the cravings are there still.

Took some of Raphael123's advice. Got fat free milk from Spar on special. Cut out my mid morning peanut butter sandwich for fruit and some nuts.

isnt a vegan one that can't use any animal products?

@bro-da, are you saying you are trying to cram in excess protein from all sources on your non-vegan days to make up for the lack on vegan days?

yeah, i initially wanted to say vegetarian but under some definitions it includes eggs and fish, not in my case. No meat no eggs but milk is ok (and by extension whey).

Nah dude... Struggling to hit my protein/carb/fat numbers on my vegan days. Not sure which major, solid food, protein source to use to build a meal around.

@bro-da, just take the protein intravenously on vegan days, it doesn't count then ;)

LOL walking around the office with one of those IV bag strollers :p

Because LUNCH!
