The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

What grinds my gears though are these fake natties that preach what is achievable, and young teens hopping on whatever the local bruh is peddling trying to emulate the lifestyle they see.

It's irresponsible and downright dangerous.

Indeed.

Anybody using SARMS. Wonder how soon Chromestore, ExtremeNutrition and SupplementsWorld will take to get these available.

Hmmm

SARMs—short for “selective androgen receptor modulators”—are synthetic drugs designed to have effects similar to those of testosterone. SARMs of any kind are not legal as ingredients in any type of dietary supplement and are prohibited for use in sport. SARM drugs such as Ostarine® and Andarine® are still in the research and testing stages.

So gents, I decided against the CLA for now, too much conflicting info at the moment. I am getting Green tea extract to supplement current green tea consumption. About 200mg EGCG per day.

I'm officially starting a proper cut for 2 months. IIFYM @ 2000 cal's and all that jazz. Currently at 78 kg's. Looking to get down to ~10% BF or visible ab's. I think I should end up at the low 70's kg's.

Also going to add some morning fasted cardio to lifting sessions. Say 3 a week, maybe 4. 20 min HIIT sessions.

Let me know if you guys have any guidence/advice. Will keep you posted on progress.

Good luck dude, will be keen to know how you're progressing. I'll post my final meal plan once it's done.

It's going to be the same meal plan almost everyday, I dont really mind as long as i get results.

Stables will be Oats, eggs, milk, broccoli, tuna, chicken,Nutritech Whey and Future life.

Oh and a block of Lindt 70% :D

I would start out with about 10min HITT for starters, see how progress is and then gradually start adding 5min until progress starts again. Later on start adding LISS to off days if you hit a wall again.

hmmnn i realize i wasnt as clear as i could have been. I am going to add fasted cardio to my current lifting regime not at the same time. I am adding the fasted HIIT cardio in the morning's and then i only lift in the afternoon.

do you still think 10 mins? overtraining concerns?

hmmn.. I suppose I was thinking 20 mins because i'm specifically driving to gym for this...

If I do go with 10 mins i'll probably do sprints/ skipping at home.

How come he admits to everyone that he has been taking 'roids (and will continue to if need be) but he says it's not allowed in competing?

Not really a fan of fasted cardio so I would rather add it in the afternoons post-weight training. Or if you are doing fasted then stick to LISS.

At 10min HITT you're definitely not over-training - I would say if you're starting off with anything less you're wasting you're time :)

The thing I'm trying to get across is not to go full-cutting mode by dropping you calories and doing a lot of extra cardio at once.
Ideally you want to start making small adjustments and as you you see stagnation there's always another arrow in your quiver.

. Oops. Wrong tab and thread. Sorry.

Enjoy the view anyway. :D

Did pullups last night and today my upper chest hurts :/ ... possibly due to bad form.

Costochondritis
Two different conditions, costochondritis and Tietze syndrome, can cause chest pain after pullups, according to Columbia University. Costochondritis involves inflammation in the cartilage that connects your rib cage to your sternum. It causes a dull ache, along with sharp pains that can occur with sudden movements or even a minor shift in position.

I think a lot of people suffer some upper chest DOMS, doubt it's anything to worry about.
It's not easy to do pullups with bad form. Just make sure you go right down, and try keep your lower body still, and don't swing up.
I take it you are doing wide grip, maybe change to a narrower grip for a while to see if the pain goes away.

Some good tips here for pullups - http://www.mensfitness.com/training/pro-tips/rookie-mistakes-pullup

A pull-up is ALWAYS over-hand (pronated), otherwise it is a chin-up (supinated).
Agh.. responding to threads too early again..

Yeah as you said he is probably going wide-grip.. was thinking that might be the issue
