Yeh, you'll struggle to build decent mass without carbs. Good for loosing, not good for building.

Almost every natty body builder is on some form of ketolike diet, not all the time but they usually cut carbs out a month before a competition to get rid of exess fat/water/bloat etc.

atm im on <50g protein a day, hitting 200g of protein a day from whey and lean meat 100g of fat a day give or take.

And that goes with what I said?

Dischem has a Combo Pack with MuscleTech NeuroCore 215g & MuscleTech Hydroxystim 110 caps.

Both For R549.00, normal price +/-R960

I haven't tried the Hydroxystim, but I have tried the Neurocore in both Blue Ras & Lemon Lime. Both get 10 out of 10 for taste, and give you a good energetic buzz like N.O Xplode.

I also saw a combo of the NeuroCore and MyoBuild, I think for the same price.

Drank too much yesterday, ate almost nothing.

Groce, going to feel it in gym today.

I'll try to limit this to once a month as I hate not being 100% committed to lifting.

You and me buddy :(

Was in the gym today. Bench weak. Pendlay row, only ok. OHP, quite better, but I think I finally found my best starting position on it.

Worst part is...the next 2 months are packed with events on the weekends.
2+ upcoming bday parties :(
Girl's dad's 50th =/
Wacky wine festival in Robertson
Weekend away @ Houw Hoek Inn, at least I will be dancing this whole weekend

And that is only the things I remember on the top of my head. So August I will make a massive push for bulking and then from October a massive push for cutting to be ready for December. In the meantime...only try and stay as clean as possible during the week at least, with weekends taking it as it goes.

Had in-laws visiting from Friday till this morning so took 3 days off, indulged a bit on the food as mother in-law cooks well.

Continuing with Heavy this week so have a heavy bench routine today, cant wait, always feel as though I have lost "something" when I take more than 1 day off.
Grilled lean mince, chicken on Sunday so have meals for the week at least, ran out of whey on Thursday, searched high and low for specials but nothing, found MuscleWorks 100% whey 2kg for R369 at Game.

I'm clearly not doing something right... lost another two kilos since last week. Man with a plan thats not working... I've been dead against supplements and all that but perhaps the time has come to do some investigation into whether I am a candidate considering I have little motivation to eat properly, and more.

I find that even when I have eaten every 2hrs it's still not enough to see serious gains.

Tried heavy Deadlift for the first time in ages and finally cracked the Century!

6 x 80kg
6 x 90kg
6 x 95kg
6 x 100kg :D

Super Stoked! Was losing grip at the end, but I suspect I could go heavier next time. Now to celebrate with some braaied chicken. Boom!

All for R4000, now to get it all to my house as it all doesn't come apart, going to be a bitch to move if we ever move house one day.

If I had 12k to spend I would buy all the guys dumbbells ranging from 1.5kg to 55kg.

Was wondering the same thing :p Btw, is it bad to try for one rep max on deadlifts when alone? I've gone up to 105kg before but it felt like i was asking for trouble, but also because the lead up to it was a bit unstructured.

Going up to 90kg lately feels quite safe tho, but don't wanna push it right now. Went up to 90kg on sumo and normal deadlifts last night. Bodyweight 60kg and height 1.66m :)

Would not be able to do 6 reps on 90kg as grip strength is not there yet, nor have i been doing deadlifts more than once per week lately.

Going up with deadlift should be fairly safe, just keep in mind, do not activate your biceps, you can very easily tear them. All you have to do, is make sure you keep your arms locked straight, then if it is too heavy, you can always just drop the weight and apologize to the people that may get upset with you dropping the weight.

Ease of mind to replace my Trojan equipment, always in the back of my mind that the equipment might fail and weight come crashing down on me.
I have already seen this equipment and it's all soldered together, some of it's been abused but that's gymming.
A month back I was going to spend about 5k on a single bench off fitness supply website.
Lucky I got the cable cross over, he still has plenty equipment, hack squat, leg press and benches etc available.
