Informative clip. Elliott Hulse, that dude is so clued up about everything!

I did feet raised push-ups with push-up handle bar thingies. Really increased difficulty quite nicely and my arms are nice and sore today! Feel it in my lats too, which may indicate I have weak lats...
 
Anybody else cutting/dieting? I am now 2months into it. Not so bad :P (400cal deficit on keto)

Today I had a huge lunch though for dat dere sanity :D
 
I think you need to switch hands a bit while helping yourself :P


Jokes aside, that does happen, and it is not going to be fun to fix it. You are going to have to keep your right arm in maintenance mode, and then go heavier on the left arm whilst still eating above maintenance intake. Dumbbells is your only option doing this.

Ehh, yeah you're right, it applies both to my Tricep and my bicep so kinda odd that it'd be such a big difference.

Eh, if anyone has a ****ed up spine, it's me. I look like I have a cross crucified to my back when I pick up a DB off the floor. But I aint gots no moneys for fix atm.

That being said, today I got 90kg x 4 reps on flat BB Bench. Form was more than questionable though, also hit 32.5 kg's on DB Bench.

But gawd does my elbows hurt. Taking off till thursday.

I been getting acne on my body. Like I've always had a pimple or two on my face, but now I'm getting fullbown acne, on my chest, back **** even my traps and arms.

Their tiny little pimples that never get yellow. It's odd I tell ya.

I think it's cause I just eat so much crap.

I notice this often with power lifters on TV like Worlds Strongest Man.

Yes. But the most effective AFAIK is a combination of strength and cardio (so your weight training and then hitting the treadmill/cycle/rowing machines). Or the best that worked for me was doing kickboxing type fitness training or kettlebell classes. Both incorporated body weight stuff too. And last but not least, it's about eating decently, eating somewhat clean.

Which workout did they do? I suppose they will all pretty much mess one up :)

edit: Elliott Hulse says MURPH will do a good job of making one sore :p

started with a run (prob 2km) then lunges, high kicks, push ups with partners weighing you down, squats and these back to back stand ups... then i was told this was the warm up :D

then it went on to

20 press ups
20 box jumps
20 pull ups
100 push ups
20 press ups
20 box jumps
20 reverse pushups (basically back rows)
20 pull ups

I am quite strong in my opinion but not really fit and i was effing out, couldn't do half of it (I think the fast squats and lunges are what effed me with my low blood pressure and started feeling like i was on the edge of blacking out/)
 
That sounds like what we do @ streetfit. In the beginning I dreaded Tuesdays because they were the worst.also came close to puking a few times
 
Can anyone recommend a good starter workout program ?

I hurt my leg about 2 months ago and will be going back to the gym tomorrow.

This is what I have in mind:

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Monday:

triceps and chest.

  • 5 Min warm-up run on treadmill
  • Barbel bench press
  • Incline bench press
  • dumbbell bench press
  • Tricept extensions
  • Tricept push-downs

Thuesday:

A 20min run outside

Wednesday:

(biceps and back)

  • Hammer curls
  • Barbell curls
  • Preacher curls
  • Lat pulldowns
  • Hyper-extensions


Thursday:

20 minute running

Friday:

Leg exercise

I'm 21 and these cardio type workouts absolutely kill me - they are obligatory at my college.

I'm in it for the powerlifting, so I don't even know how a treadmill works.
 
Lost 30kg last year doing weights only, lost a lot of strength though, so don't expect miracles
On the losing strength part, well depends on where he is now. I never had much strength to lose in the first place, so different strokes for different folks :p

As a beginner it's all u need. Feel free to do your cardio on alternate days or after your gym workouts.

Drink a lot of milk/dairy?
