Again, artificial sweeter is not sugar. You were claiming SUGAR, and the link you posted specifically stated SUGAR - I was disputing that, and have said nothing against the benefits, or lack their of of artificial sweeteners.

500g of sugar is 1 935 calories.

I don't know how many more times I can say this, I do not know why they referred to that, but the i was referring to slide to where they show per can which was 39g vs 42g, but for some reason when you guys open the link it does not show this, I have no idea why....

Again, I did not say Coca Cola uses artificial sweeteners but a large portion of the diet sodas do, artificial sweeteners can be just as bad as sugars.

I will refrain from commenting in this thread, save you all the trouble of having someone that disagrees with you.

You can say it as many times as you like, YOU claimed, not the link, that diet drinks use SUGAR, and only a small bit less than regular drinks, which is complete BS.

Here it is again:
All I am trying to say is Diet drinks generally do not have much less sugar than the regulars, if you have any info that states otherwise you welcome to post it.

So yes, I will disagree with you, because you are wrong.

But...you are quite undeducated w.r.t. diet soda. You have proven that multiple times during this thread. Tell me again how THIS fact makes me a douchebag?

Yes because you are obviously over educated with regards to Diet soda and I should not disagree with you, diet soda will not slow down any weight loss program and can be consumed on a daily basis with no negative affects on your diet, this has been scientifically proven and all fitness experts are idiots. Coca Cola has your health interest at heart and will in no way mislead customers to increase sales volumes.

I am with you 100%.

Again, I used the word generally, not all diet drinks use sugars and will substitute them with artificial sweeteners of which most are actually manufactured from sugars.

You only seem to read what you want of my posts.

It seems you're struggling - we were talking about Diet Coke

You quoted the following, from your imaginary link on Diet Coke

Again you did not read it, 42g per can in normal and 39g per can in the lite, 10% difference.

Please read the entire thing.... once again....

So now you're saying you weren't talking about sugar in diet coke? You need to differentiate between the words Sugar, and artificial sweetener.

I will refrain from commenting in this thread, save you all the trouble of having someone that disagrees with you.

Until then.

Okay I see that escalated quickly.

My Oupa drinks brandy and water and my pops drinks it with iced tea (he had that stomach thing with the stitches) not too keen on the water but would probably give it a go, is ice tea better than fizzy drinks?

this thread is hilarious today. by now i can't tell if you're trolling or being serious, achievement unlocked i guess.

I'm dead serious, I heard that Castle Light doesn't help, I want to live a healthy lifestyle but with when it comes to drinking it is especially hard, one buddy says you have to drink red wine, another says whiskey. But I want drinking to be a pleasure and those aren't really my taste so that is why I'm seeking advice.

Soz if it looks like I'm trolling

Sorry piesank I didn't mean you, I was referring to TheGrove. As for alcohol and fitness, I suggest reading this:

http://www.leangains.com/2010/07/truth-about-alcohol-fat-loss-and-muscle.html

Good choices of alcohol include dry wines which are very low carb, clocking in at about 0.5-1 g per glass (4 fl oz/115ml). Sweet wines are much higher at 4-6 g per glass. Cognac, gin, rum, scotch, tequila, vodka and whiskey are all basically zero carbs. Dry wines and spirits is what you should be drinking, ideally. Take them straight or mixed with diet soda. (No need to be super-neurotic about this stuff. Drinks should be enjoyed after all. Just be aware that there are better and worse choices out there).

It's a tad on the sciency side of things though, alternatively look here:

http://getdrunknotfat.com/

Personally I like to drink red wine and whiskey, but I'm also a huge sucker for beer. :)

I have a black label or two at night and I have a 2l bottle of coca cola zero. I need some luxuries :p Must say USN hardcore whey tastes like ass, well the french vanilla flavour.

The cleaner the alcohol, the better.

But your best friend is probably moderation.

Absolutely raped my shoulders today on Chest day lmao.

Flat BB Bench Press
warm ups
90kgx5
90kgx5
95kgx4

Incline DB BP

These raped my shoulders hard, I couldn't figure out why I was feeling it in my shoulders so much and not my chest, turns out I didn't have the bench at a proper incline, putting all the stress on my shoulders.

-20kgx8
-25kgx6
-30kgx3
-27.5kgx3

Realized I ****ed up on the incline setting and did one set of 25kgx6 at the proper height, but my shoulders were already fried. So fried that I couldn't do Rope Pulldowns or Skullcrushers after. Yoh.

Ended up doing Tricep Extentions

-7.5kgx8
-10kgx7
-7.5kgx8

Did Machine Chest Press after this

CBA to remember the reps/weight cause at this point I just wanted to curl into a fetal position and eat a Steers Burger

Are the "x5"'s 5 Reps or 5 Sets?

How do you decide the proper height for incline?
380_1.jpg

I try to go for a height similar to that, but today the bench was a different design so I ended up not adjusting it properly and ended up more upright. Like I did a leaning back DB shoulder press heh

reps
I didn't specify my warm ups, but it follows the same pyramid pattern. barx8, 40x8, 70x8 then I do my power work. I'd usually end attempting a 1RM as well, but I wanted to PR my Incline DB so I held off on the maximal effort.

Going to hit Biceps/Triceps early tomorrow morning!

I've added a day specifically for arms now as I want them to grow!

So yeah, my routine's pretty crazy now, I'm benching every 3 days, sometimes every second day. Just love that exercise too much!

I actually did follow this! I did it in June/July to break a plateau. It actually may have been you who recommended it to me back then heh.
Nice lifts btw :O

My only issue with Smolov was that in the first few weeks I felt like I wasn't training hard enough and I'd end up with strange numbers like 67.5 kg, so i'd have to round it down to 65, which is what I did last.
