I work on a 4 day split, 2 days on and 1 day off. Only supplement is whey protein and multi vitamin.

The biggest contributing factor was my diet. I was pretty strict. 55/30/15 split in protein, carbs and healthy fats and never cheating. Aimed at 2100 cals a day. You can clearly see I had a lot of fat to shed. Still do IMHO. Also running 6km on training days - 3km to and from gym served as great warm up and warm downs.

After posting pics here I'll get back to a strict diet and really gun for that 10-12 percent body fat range. Good motivation.

no creatine?

No sir.

Does it help? Sure. Is a need for me? No.

If using or not using a single supplement is the determining factor for anyone (other than pro's as we know they use those special vitamins :p ) then the diet is not right.

If I could afford it I'd leave out whey protein as well and replace with biltong and steak haha.

Where creatine has helped me in the past has been when I hit a power plateau. Will then start creatine and get an immediate fuller look (more water in cells) and power boost.

I should actually be using it all the time...but not a necessity for me at all.

Yeah I agree with that. I found that I am completely shying away from supplements. It gets bloody expensive. For now I just want to stay healthy, eat well, sleep well, exercise well, and that is about it.

HI Guys

So i've been outta gym for about 6months now. Previously trained for about 1 year then took a 2 year gap then started again and trained for over 2years. Will be starting again this month.
My current weight is 75kgs got quite a bit of bf now, especially in my abdominal area. Prob about 15% BF now.
Goal is to reach about 80kgs by December. BF down to about 11%/12%. Just looking to gain size again mostly for now.
Use to train 6 days a week. 2 body parts a week - 2 days break between body part. I overtrained quite a bit thats why i think this long-break is just what i needed.

My stats 6months ago:
Age: 25
Weight: 84 kg
Height: 1,74m
BF: 10%
Lifting: over 2 years
Bench: 100 kg (2 Reps)
Squat: 160 kg (2 Reps)
Deadlift: 180kg (3 Reps)

My new split prob:
Mondays-Back
Tuesday-Legs
Wednesday-Chest & Biceps
Thursday - Shoulders & Triceps
Friday - Back
Saturday - Legs

And Diet and Supplementation prob:
6am - Oats and Eggs & Multi Vits
9am - chicken and rice
12pm - chicken and rice
3pm - chicken and rice
4pm - Pre-workout SSA Ganic F, SSN BCAA and Creatine
Post Workout - SSN Crea-Mass, BCAA & Glutamine
6pm - Steak & Sweet Potatoe
9pm - Casein Protein with Almonds

SSN EFA Softgels with about 2/3 of my meals as well.

Any suggestions on what you think i should change or add would be appreciated. Thnx Guys

So started gyming last week. Weighed myself and my current weight is 77kg and 17% bf.

I'm about 10kg's off on my strength in dumbbell chest press and shoulder press, didnt squat heavy but felt like I could go 2 plates on each side and didnt deadlift, will deadlift this week but not heavy as well - was never 'strong" but picked up size quite quick - and could atleast still do some pull ups, done 5 x 5.

Body is not feeling as painful as i expected it to be. Haven't started on my diet and supplementation yet. Will start once payday is around. Main focus is just to pick up on my size before I start cutting, so definately not worried about a six pack, just gonna make sure my mid-section is flat.

Be careful. My uncle once tried a cheap product called X-Plode or something like that. His guts exploded. Had the skiets for days.

? That whey is 9/10 on bb.com.

Are you talking about NO x plode from BSN?

I use a protein shake about twice a week. That's only if I have nothing to ready to eat in the fridge before I go gymming in the afternoon.

I prepare supper after I come back and I usually try to have something left over for lunch the next day.

Is Planet Fitness SA in any way affiliated to the USA franchise?

Planet Fitness in the USA is not bodybuilding friendly. It's for people who want to look like they don't lift weights. They removed the squat racks in their gyms earlier this year for being too intimidating and they don't allow heavy deadlifting.

I would think so, however, they don't follow the same policies as the US counterpart (yet...), and they don't have that colour scheme.

**** me sideways. I heard bad things about them before, but 60 lbs dumbbells max? I don't even? What?

Oi! Don't come here with your intimidating tendencies, or you will be ask to leave!

I think they still have smith machines, although, they might get rid of the 20kg plates - intimidating stuff!

Yep, that is it, NO-Xplode. He said it was cheap and at the time I wasn't too familiar with the products. Name sounded dodgy to me at least.

See this link. A number of reviewers report gastro issues. http://supplementreviews.com/bsn/no-xplode

Ah, NO-Xplode. Let me start by saying I certainly had an Xplosion, but it wasn't in energy, it was whilst I was sitting on the toilet with stomach cramps.
...
I guess the main selling point of NO-Xplode are its crazy 'energy' gains and 'pumps'. I experienced neither. I tested my tolerance. Did the recommended dosage, doubled it and then some. Nothing.

What I did experience however were stomach cramps and spending the same amount of time on the toilet as I did in the gym - I have no experienced this with any other product. It kicked the crap out of me, literally.

The REALLY Ugly:

The Cramps: Now there is a clear warning not to eat at least 30 minutes before you use NO-Xplode, however since my roommate brought back a delicious Italian Sub with all the toppings I threw caution to the wind and said whatever I'll drink NO-Xplode and eat food. Horrible mistake, and you can ask the toilet in the gym and it'll agree. Thank God nobody was around to listen to me literally X-plode.

MMAFreak -

...It also pretty much never fails that I have to stop 20 min into my workout and take a dump when I used to take it...

Lol, the stuff seems brutal.
