Old bottle says "2 Scoops" (30g)
New bottle (New Formula) says "2 Heaped Scoops" (32g)

I weighed level scoops of the new formula and it was 34g. So no need to do heaped scoops.

Anyone know where to get the best deal on an olympic bar and Tri-grip rubberised plates? in PE or CT.

MiFitness.co.za had a good deal and Fizique.co.za has the cheapest plates I've seen, but they are both in JHB ad the shipping kills the price!

Keep an eye on Gumtree. I got 100kg of tri-grip rubberised plates and an Olympic bar for R2k! I've found quite a bit of quality gym equipment for a bargain on there.

Nice! Quite a long read so here's the conclusion from the end of that article for the TL;DR version:

Interesting. So as someone that is looking to focus more on their posterior deltoids, standing barbell seems to be the best option.

My knowledge of anatomy and remembering the different body parts is appalling. My takeaway is that a combination of both seated and standing is going to be good for overall muscle development. And if forsaking one, then do away with seated. Unless one is just chasing that one rep max and not bothered about balance; then seated is the way to go?

Actually, probably the best decisions, mix it up. One day standing, the next seated kind of thing?

That is what I'm doing now in an attempt to fix my bad form. I go heavy with seated and this week I went light and forced myself not to track back with my arms. In 2 weeks I will up the weight a few % and continue with that until I slowly progress into the heavy zone

Latest edition to the home gym.

My Orbitrek is on its last legs with bearings starting to go and other funny squeaking noises coming from the flywheel.

So I picked this up for R500 from a guy on Facebook. As new.

With the wide variety and choice of multi-vit and minerals, how do you pick one that's decent, without being ripped off?

What multi-vitamins and minerals, Omega's, etc are you all taking?
For the older guys, can any of you recommend a good joint support to take as well.
What else are you taking besides the above, and and besides the usual supplements?

I am just at a stage of re-assessing what to spend my money on when it comes to health goods and supplement.
I have decided to stick with Nutritech Whey, creatine and MAYBE L-Gluatamine.
I will drop the pre-workout as they tend to be expensive, and maybe have coffee before training. Thoughts?

I''m hearing more about coffee as a pre-workout ''supplement''. My cousin, who is pro boxer, has a cup of black coffee (no sugar) and a slice of brown bread with peanut butter before all of his workouts/training sessions.

I never bough pre-workouts, but do do the coffee drink before workouts. I suspect if you go with a stronger blend that has more caffeine in, that could help too. Wether it makes a difference however...who knows. But I love coffee.

I'm going to give it a go. Lately I have been battling with fatigue/tiredness right at the start of my sessions. Even if it works like a placebo, I won't mind. :D

The search for a suitable back squat replacement continues :/ Stupid gym with its stupid squat rack
Would some variety of single leg squat (I'm thinking pistol squat) along with deadlifts work out to a similar end result?
