I don't trust that Homemark/Verimark stuff. But I might be wrong.

Which link do u mean, I clicked on a few now and they work for me?

Save the money on the little wheel thing and get yourself better quality dumbells :) Have u tried Game for dumbells? THere are plenty of ab/core exercises u can do that require no equipment. You can even use your pullup bar to work your abs by doing hanging leg raises :)

Hehe, yeah those Scoobie videos are funny!! I question how he does some of his excercises (even if you're just starting out, form is Everything) and to try and do a dumbell press while lying on the floor... will Not give you the stretch you actually want.... but as long as you know better, he does at least give you things to do at home.

Just finished reading the last few pages here.... I gotta say, I drop my weights. I will also say there is a difference between throwing and dropping. I'm not talking about dropping from my waist, I will get the weight mostly down and then just release. It will make noise.... and pending weight, quite a bit!! Any (proper) gym will have a re-inforced concrete floor with some kind of padding on top. It was also mentioned that Ronnie doesn't drop his weights... I'd recommend watching all his DVD's. The only time he doesn't is when he's training legs....

It's academic really. What is so difficult about putting weights down to the ground...?

Train to failure and then try 'put' the weights the down. If you manage, then you didn't reach failure. Look, in my warmup sets, it's no sweat.... BUT for me, doing a 50kg Dumbell Row is frikken heavy. I know my max and I try get there every time, often hitting failure. Now that being a back excercise (I'll exclude secondary muscles) there is no way in hell I'm going to put my back under any more stress.... the drop is not far, but a drop nonetheless. It's not the only excercise, but I feel it's an apt example.

People train for different reasons and training in a public gym means that you accept that. There are guys that scream their lungs out, but Im not there to dwell on them, I'm there for me.

What does annoys me are people that are obsessed with weight, sacrificing form.... and those that come to gym and talk/walk around for 10min between sets.

Agreed.

I normally go to the gym from 7 or 8pm and during winter its not a problem as there are few people at the gym, but going to the gym in the summer or during the day is another story. Something else that also annoys me when some people just want to make conversation while you are busy with your reps.

Anyone here tried USN Diet Fuel before ?

I normally stay away from USN products, but the Evox equivalent(Nuplex Meal Replacement ) is currently out of stock.

If someone would like gain muscle, you will have to concentrate on compound movements. As previously mentioned, squats. That's one. A beginner's routine should be Bench press, shoulder press, pullups and squats. That would get you into things. After you've done that for roughly 2 - 3 months and you feel good, you can then start on the isolation exercises like flys, one arm curls, cable pushdown, reverse curls etc. You'need to patient.....very,very,very patient...

BUT YOUR DIET IS STILL 60% OF THE WHOLE THING! THE REST IS 25% TRAINING 15% SLEEPING
