Sweet jesus, the best thing about being a student is coming home at 1:30 after gym and sleeping for 5 hours.

As for the actual gym session, shoulder was hurting today - don't know why - I've been doing rotator cuff strengthening exercises since I started. I forced through the pain though and it sort of went away and came back at times. At home now and it feels a bit tender. Think I'll do a de-load since I have been going almost non stop for months now.

Did compounds with some isolations

5x5 Bench Press
8x4 Chin Ups
5x5 Overhead Press
8x3 Skullcrushers (because someone else wanted to use the bar I was using and I didn't want to be a douche)
8x3 Rope Pushdowns
8x5 Face Pulls (http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/cms/uploads/1/cable-face-pull_470x360.jpg) These are great for your rear delts and Rhomboids.

InternetSwag, me too. I'm having a bad ****ing day. Today was back and shoulders (i did some legs too, i had some spare energy)

My last set was cable lat raises (I have bad shoulders, so I use cable instead of DB) then i snapped all my ****s

My shoulder felt a sharp as hell pain for a split second. I decided to stop gym right there, drove to pharmacy, got anti-inflammatories and glucamine (and some other wierd suppliment which the pharmacist sold me)

R150 later I feel abit better, asking the GF to rub it out later T_T

Ahh damn that sucks, worst thing ever to get injured especially when you're making gains and can't wait for the next workout.

Bodybuilding is a double edged blade :d

I had a shoulder injury in high school and was given 6 weeks off, really hope i don't need to do something similar this time around.

A bad day is one where instead of getting to workout after a long day, you get to work more :(
Tomorrow morning perhaps.

:( yeah, it's a recurring injury from me, got it from rugby (grade 8) during high school, it was a tackle which went bad for me. I will probably have this problem for life. But it's no excuse

Which do u recommend?

Cellucore C4
MusclePharm Assault
PurusLabs Condense

These are the top 3 pre-workouts out at the moment. Condense and C4 will give you that rush and buzz feeling. Assault won't give that high as quick...but it gives you great concentration and drive. Also does not crash you like most pre-workouts. Use em on days you feel little drained.

So I saw this: warrior race which is 6-8KM 15 OBSTACLES
And I wanna do it, come the next race in may.

Any one know training programs for this type of thing?
I was running hills this morning since the gym is closed, and i'm totally running unfit.

For people having troubles with shoulders - take care! About a year ago I got an impingement in my left shoulder and I couldn't even do reps bench with 50kg. I really suggest looking at your bench form and re-evaluate your back workout program.

This is also a very good shoulder rehab program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0ONHZmsFec

Must say, I must be very lucky to have no shoulder problems, and I intend to keep it that way, which is why I stay away from certain types of exercises. The compound and bodyweight ones I do all however.

Now for something OT, but this girl can bench press more than most guys. 110kg in total on the final lift!

I saw that last night - pretty amazing! Dat back arch, I got pain just looking at it.

DAMN...

That girl will be a stunner in a few years.

But with that back arch she is minimizing the distance the bar needs to drop to touch the chest along with a very wide grip...

Still very impressive for a 13yr old girl! Oh the boys must jelly...and afraid :p

Which do u recommend?

Been using Ultimate Health Chemical X for the past four months, and happy with it. The one tub has lasted me so long, and will probably last another two. I don't use a lot, only on days when I feel crap.

That back arch is normal in power-lifting, seen another guy also doing it some time ago, and this guy also had some insane PR.
It definitely does reduce the distance the bar has to move (less ROM), but then again, this is to get a high PR, not bodybuilding, so it has it's use case, for normal workouts I wouldn't suggest such an arch, unless you practicing for a power meet.

I also arch my back, but not anything to close as that much, more just a tiny bit, to force my shoulders down, so to ensure shoulders do no work thus not getting hurt in the process. My rule for correct form however is, ass still needs to touch down, even though you don't have any weight on it.

+1, this stuff I only found out after I got hurt >:|

Question: any guys doing weighted chins/dips/pullups? What do you use to add the weight?

Only increase past your body weight when you are happy that you are using a full range of motion. I would use a dumbbell between my feet to add the first 10 or 15 kg and not go beyond that. That chain is just too much admin, and most of the beefcakes that spend 5 minutes strapping it on don't dip all the way down anyway.
