Nitrotech is an overly priced Muscletech whey. Nutritech is a good local product for half the price that will give you the same results.

I agree.. nitrotech is heavily overpriced considering its loaded with all sorts of crap that isnt actually whey
my friend at work loves it however, and it was for him

i take ON whey post gym and SSN for my budget stuff
didnt like nutritech at all

I managed 2x100kg (bench) today and did 27.5kg inclines (DB press)

Felt good about myself

...
Then I saw a guy who looks no older than matric shoulder press 40 kg DB's.

Dear god.

Let me guess, one of those rugby steroid junkies? Have a lot of them here at my gym...there is a guy from AHS who is in Gr12, he is just absolutely massive for his age. White afrikaner genetics + rugby + gym + roids = beast of a man.

Anyone heard of Precision Whey? I got a contact that can get it for R300 for a 2.5 kg tub

Concentrate or isolate? The price sounds very dodge for such an amount.

lol I like your math :D :D

Though;
hard to say if he was into Rugby, if not idk what got him into lifting, so safe to assume he is. But he was relatively short, probably 5'6", but he was lean and strong, but muscular as well. So idk what position he'd be playing. Whatever it is I feel sorry for the person getting tackled by him.

That being said, he must be doing something right if he can afford roids in high-school. I've looked at the prices >.> Won't be doing that for at least 10 years.

First I hurt the top right side of my back on Tuesday with tyre flips.
Probably got tired and picked up with my back instead of legs.

Then Friday, last rep of the last set of dead lifts i feel a sharp pain in my lower left side.
I hate injuring myself with ill discipline...

BTW does anyone follow some sort of stretching program and how important do you rate stretching?
I can barely get my hands past my knees when bending over.

The problem is, their dads usually buy it for them, to help them perform in rugby. I've seen soooooo many rugby guys that are under 18 looking insanely jacked/cut. You can immediately spot when they are on their cycles, when a guy goes from 50lbs to 80lbs dumbell press in a few weeks/month + looking a bit more swole tells you something isn't right.

I thought he said 40kg dumbbells.

Well yeah 40kg DB shoulder press at age 18 is suspiciously impressive. How the hell do you even get 40kg up there without a spotter. Damn idk if I can even lift a 40kg DB that high, probably, but it'd be effort.

I like to give benefit of the doubt though. Maybe he was just a super freak, part of the 1%.

Yeh, you also press those? My shoulder is still buggered - and I can comfortably do 34kg when it's not bothering me too much. If it wasn't giving me issues I'd be able to do 40kg.

I think this has a lot to do with body proportions - my legs are just too long to boost the dumbbells up from my knees.

Heh no. I can easily pick them up, pressing them no. Last time I checked dumbbells, I could do to about 25kg, which is about right as I was between 50-55kg barbell OHP.

Shoulder press is my weakest lift, and the one I would now probably want to work on the most.

Made it to 150 wide grip pull-ups last week (5,5,5,5...) Thursday, started eating 2x boiled eggs for breakfast as well - was thinking of bringing them to work as snack but they do smell a bit and I reckon office/cubicle rats will complain.

Did some light bench press on saturday BUT my wrist is just not there yet and with 5 weeks left till holiday where I'll have 3 weeks of rest I think I'll just push through the injury.

So, I feel like my chest got a little bit bigger in these last few weeks, the only change I've made to my (specifically) chest workouts is adding the cable crossovers/flies as suggested and doing incline bench :D

So I'm happy, I'll keep doing those

How did you injure your wrist again?

Shoulders are my best body part, mostly down to genetics. I was shoulder pressing 90KG for 8 when I was only 80KG about 5 years ago. Now I'm bigger but weaker thanks to injuries. I can swing the 38KG dumbells up off the ground for a set with no spot but not the damn 40KG. Once you injure your rotator cuff it's never quite the same again.

I dunno why guys neglect working shoulders or throw them in for just a few sets when working chest or back. When you have wide shoulders you enhance your V taper and look bigger and leaner than you really are.

90kg dumbells??? in each hand? That's got to be a world record...
