Been using Nutritech for months. It's the best whey on the market at the best price if I recall correctly. Also locally manufactured which is even better!

Cool.

Wheres the best place to buy Nutritech whey. I have seen it at the dischem.

Wow. Never seen it at a Dischem. Pretty cool that they picking that brand up.

I buy almost exclusively from RageNutrition.co.za. Free shipping door to door. Prices are pretty much the cheapest all round.

Stuff like creatine, dextrose etc which I take raw I will buy from BSSA.

Sorry, was meant to say "i haven't see it at the dischem"

I've used Chromeshop, R599 for 3.2kg - think last I checked, RageNutrition was slightly cheaper.

My back is almost better, it's taken a year. I'm now at 2011 deadlift levels :(

Anyone know how much calories is in Supplements SA Massive Muscle? Cheapest supplement I've seen with that amount of protein in it.

Nvm, found it:

Good price but not ideal for cutting. Looks like I will have to dig deep into my tiny student wallet for a pure whey supplement :o

Where can I find a decently priced one?

That is definitely not for cutting. 40g of protein on 100g. There is a lot of BS in there that makes up the rest. Carbs as Maltodextrin and Dextrose? So you will only be able to use this after gym or you will have a sugar crash while training.

I was under the impression that whey protein has a low amount of calories, but I'm browsing some now and it looks like that's not always the case.

I seem to have strained my left arm on Monday while trying out the close grip bench press. It still hurts a bit, just under the shoulder, opposite side from where the arm would rest against the body (dunno all the muscle names lol)

Should I wait until the pain clears completely before doing anymore exercises?

If you want a cheaper whey then look for one that is mostly concentrate. The one above is extremely high in carbs and other shyt that you don't want in a whey.

Nutritech whey. 106 calories per serving. 30g serving with 24g protein, 1g fat and 2g carbs. Unbeatable imo for the quality and price.

Think you're misunderstanding things, its the carbs they add to the whey protein that push up the "bad" calories.

I've only really found one decent whey concentrate which is Supplement Factory Raw Whey Concentrate, but it's more expensive than SSA Super Whey

I mentioned the Massive Muscle earlier because it looks like the best rand/protein supplement around (I'm a student and money is my highest concern right now.) I understand it has more carbs than I would want but the Massive Muscle (R389/5kg) will last a lot longer than the SSA Super Whey (R439/2.5kg) in helping me reach my daily protein requirements.
