Depends on person I guess, for me it was great and I still prefer doing 2 sets of my main lifts (for secondary lifts I still do 3x10 sets). It keeps my total gym time down while still punishing the muscles, I don't have to spend eons on one exercise /piece of equipment. It's just so simple ;p

How many reps are you doing per set on your main lifts?

Quick question for all.

How long does your workout last on average? And perhaps an indication of exercises/sets/reps.

I average around 50min. 5 exercises with 4 sets each and 10 reps each.

This includes a 5min warmup on the spinning bike and some stretching.

I assume this is for prOd and relates to Leangains?

90 minutes, but then again I faff around as I don't have energy to give 100% and/or sometimes the equipment I want to use is occupied.

You're doing it right according to Athlean-X, if you're giving your all during that 45 minutes.

I can only imagine how busy it can get in peak time at the commercial gyms.

Monday must be a biatch to get a bench press station.

I'm so glad I don't have to stand in a q for stations. Part of my program is about getting into the gym, getting the job done and getting out. Rests max 1:30.

Same here.

The most time wasted by me is to change weights on the barbell and dumbbells for the next exercise. Or if the wife shouts from the kitchen for urgent assistance.

Yah, busy gyms are a pain. I'm going to have to get used to deviating from the stronglifts exercises... Even one hour before closing KC VA is still busy!

The VA I go to isn't too crazy in the evenings - The cables, smith machines and free weight dumbbell area is generally packed - but luckily not so much with the benches and squat racks.

It does happen once in a while that I modify what I was going to do on the fly - I couldn't be bothered to stand around twiddling my thumbs waiting for a spot on a machine / piece of equipment to open up.

The Wembly VA is lekker quiet around 19:30-20:00. Might be a bit too late to start for some people though

Where are you buying from and how much? I see takealot has the 3.2KG for R619, but only two flavours.
