I've dropped 2kgs before.... Not my proudest moment

Side note - hands up if you've ever hauled 20kg off the bench bar without supporting the end (at least once) :D
Now THAT's embarassing lol.

It's all relative to the size of the weights dropped. If they're 40kg dumbells and he's just finished bi-curls, rather just put up with it :D

Agreed hence my previous post we have to create a small "within reason" judgeframe

It will flip with 40 not 20, tested this on varies occasions, you need a minimum of 40 left

It all depends on the equipment - width of the frame holding the bar and the length of the bar. i.e. what % of bar sticks out either side of the brackets. Also depends on what % of total weight you're taking off. My bar won't flip on the power cage with 50+kgs on one side and nothing on the other, but the bench station will flip with 15 on one side and nothing on the other.

True, I'm talking average bar the normal width not those small excuses in Virgin active I tested it in Van Der Stel

Soooo embarrassing... I was a bit of a dumbass when I started, was clearing the bar and there was 2 x 20's on each end, I started clearing on the 1 side :p

We all had to start somewhere. There are those who have done it and those who won't admit they have :D

it depends, on a bench etc where it is narrow, no 20 makes it flip, on a bench that is wide, yeah needs like 40.

I did it on a shrugs machine, so there was 60 on one side and 40 on the other, i wanted 2 x 20's, didnt see that it was unbalanced, took 20 off the 40 side... whole thing flipped like a mofo.

thats the flavour I bought! Hopefully don't have the same side effect haha

Nothing worse than unflavoured egg protein IMO. Bought some on a trip to Kenya once to use while I was away. Just glad I wasn't home to share that gas with the rest of the family. Eish!
