Thanks. I feel guilty when I don't train... but I don't want to over do it. :D

You've probably seen this before, but here goes:

Truth, though, is that you HAVE to rest in order to grow. Your muscles only grow after they've a) been broken down, and b) been given sufficient time to repair themselves. My current program (SL 5x5) reckons I need to rest for a day after worked out. I mostly feel like I can go back the next day, but meh, I'd rather just play it safe and let my body recover.

I'm currently doing 4 days on and 1 day off.

But even on my my off day I sometimes do like 20min of light cardio. Don't really know what to do with myself when I don't train.

Thats true, hence why I train 7 days on, legs rest, chest rests, etc not training one muscle part back to back so for me rest... /meh

I'm on three days/week, but I'm training for weight loss, not muscle gain. Going to look into buying a kettlebell for some cardio on my off days and just train at home.

Crossfit! Very cool for strength and cardio and weight loss.

I challenge anyone in here to match this kind of giant set

And before you say kipping pullups are cheating, just try this routine once and see how far you get.

Hi,

I am a vegetarian and have recently started going back to the gym with the purpose of gaining muscle and being fit. I am fairly skinny and have a fast metabolism.

Please explain the difference between the Evox and USNs Solid Mass & the Formidible Mass product? Which one is better for me?

Is the Whey Protein product suitable for vegetarians? I understand that it has rennet which is from veal (i think)?

Based on the above and your advice what should I be taking during the day etc in order to achieve my goals?

Thank you

This - loaded with carbs and they will just bloat you and lay on fat. Eat healthy. What kind of vegetarian are you? Do you eat eggs or milk?

Thanks for the feedback.
I eat eggs and dairy products, no fish....

Awesome. Go for pure whey or casein (casein is slower release so good for before bed). Egg protein is also good but don't take a supplement for mass gains, rather just up your food intake with natural foods and supplement with whey, casein or egg protein IMO. Sweet potatoes, potatoes and rice are all good for bulk phases. Drink lots of water and eat plenty fibre. Oat bran in your cereal helps too. Veggies keep the system ticking over nicely too. Protein is definitely necessary but not the be all and end all. Clean carbs from whole sources are your best bet for putting on weight.
