The problem with that little dialogue is why did Paul the Main Man feel that he had to force his opinion onto someone else? Does he also walk around and tell smokers to stop smoking. And does he tell fat women to stop stuffing their faces. People should be allowed to put into their bodies whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm anybody else. I've got a friend who's been on juice pretty much constantly since 1985. He's now 54 years old. He doesn't look a day over 40 and he's got a physique that most people will never achieve. He's also one of the strongest people I know. Oh yeah, and he doesn't moer his wife or beat up people on the roadside so there goes that theory too.

It's perfectly fine if someone thinks that roids are dangerous but please leave those that know better alone to do as they please, I say.
 
Exactly, although you need to read his other posts to put it in context, and see where its coming from.... (the guys a nut at best)

I've been doing CKD since August, and it works BRILLIANT, but I had my cholestrol tested today and its through the roof :( over 7!
Changing diets immediately

I guess I wasnt getting enough healthy fats :(
 
So I changed over to 5,3,1 + BB assistance exercises... a refreshing change from 5x5... stiff again :(

Going to do two cycles of 5,3,1 + BB Assistance exercises, then switch to two cycles of 5,3,1 + Boring But big Assistance.
 
Came back from weekend on the farm, had two days rest but was involved in two parties on friday and saturday so lots of junk food and beer :)

Sunday decided to have a hectic session of bench and shoulders when we got back home, heavy bench and went up 1kg on my clean and press.
I could feel I pushed hard.....could also feel I needed the 2 day break.
An hour later was dizzy as hell and started to feel sick and a headache came on, wondering if it's related to gymming or protein shake (added an extra scoop).
Monday had a rest, today starting all over again..........I have 17 days left until we go to the beach for holiday, come back in January.
So diet will slack off , I do actually want to enjoy myself, very active person so I'll be running everyday, fishing etc.
 
*sigh* I am now 3.5kg away from breaking the 1000lbs (454kg) for the three major lifts. Hopefully next week.
 
I meant the individual WEIGHTS. As in KG's.

Oh - mine?

120kg bench - stuck here because of my arm - but almost through it..

150kg full squat, 180-190kg just below parallel squat - but taking the full squat weight.

Going for a 200kg dead-lift next week (currently on 180kg, three weeks ago, but felt I could go more)

Quite happy with the weights after a year of lifting.

Just one question: How can you be exactly 3.5kg away from 454kg? That means that you're currently sitting on 450.5kg which in turn means that you've got access to 250g plates. No biggie, just curious. :)
 
Here's the exact amounts for you

150kg * 2.20462262 = 330.693393
180kg * 2.20462262 = 396.8320716

TOTAL = 992.080179

1000 - 992.080179 = 7.919821

7.919821 / 2.20462262 = 3.59237038kg

Doesn't mean I have to use 3.5kg plates... just means I'm 3.5kg from the target... going above the target also works for me.
 
Oh so you're working in pounds. Only the Yanks still use such ancient units of measure. :) I know, 1000lb is a nice round number, though.

Another thing, I feel that a below-parallel squat and a full squat is the same thing, actually.

Yeh... there's no 454kg club though :p Guess we could start a 500kg club. :p

Its not that far off from where I am now - and I'm hoping with my arm feeling better thanks to this damn tape I can hit it by mid Jan.
