Indeed, if USN products could give you a heart attack you wouldn't buy it over the counter at your local pharmacy.
Fuma,
I also never liked the Deadlift, in fact I was thinking of ways to avoid it, BUT then I started pushing it hard, and the benefits...are just amazing. I believe the Deadlift, is the single best exercise you can do, improve all your other lifts. Trust me, once DL goes up, everything else just follow. Squats goes up easier, Barbell Rows (or Pendlay Rows as I do them) goes up, and when Rows go up, Bench goes up, and lastly, even your Overhead Press will go up. I don't know how it works, but that is what happened to me. I did everything hard but DL, and I then started struggling on all of them, so I was like what the heck, lets do DL, and boom all of a sudden everything else started going up again.
Just saying...don't skip a lift because you are afraid of it. When you are afraid of a lift, I believe that lift will give you the biggest boost. With that, don't go do something stupid and test a DL of 100kg outright, you know, work it up like you would with any other lift, in a safe manner. I believe doing it safe, so you won't break your back.
Anyways, required exercises in my book are: Squats and Deadlifts, and Overhead Press (and I still suck at OHP).
