You're basically saying instead of taking creatine mono - I should be taking creatine mono.

No. What I am saying is, throw your South African branded creatine away. They do not use Creapure. This is if you do indeed use SA Creatine. 99% of South African's go for the cheapest option.

Creapure is actually a brand. It is monohydrate, yes, but made by the creapure company. Optimum Nutrition and the like buy their Creatine from the Creapure factory and put it in their bottles. As do many many other companies. BUT, when it comes to SA supplement companies, they don't.

Creapure is also cheap as chips. Just because it has the creapure tag, does not push the price up. I have ON Creatine, 2 months worth for R230.

Myself I buy the 1.2kg from ON and its even cheaper - R500 or less. Lasts me like 6 months.

Just a final word on the Creapure. In no way am I being one of those "I know better than you, and you are wrong" type of person. I just want people to get the best stuff that is out there. Money is tight nowadays and every cent spent should be towards quality products.

@reactor_sa: I just had a look at my invoice, it was R163 for the 300g bottle. The 1.2kg was sold out :( Excellent value for money for an ON product.

Might make a plan for a pull- up bar on my garage rafters. Space- about 8 sq m.

You can get one of those pull-up bars that you can easily attach or remove from your doorway like I did. Can't remember the name of it though :/

Definately very keen. Need a bench for sure, but money,s too tight to mention.

Tamagotchi I have one of these lying around and it is yours for free if you are just able to collect it somehow from Boksburg area, don't know if you work out his way maybe or coming this side for any reason.

pm me if you are interested.

Out of interest, whats your opinion on cycling creatine?

I used to cycle for 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off. But new research, back then, made me change. I just stick with the 5g per day, everyday. I don't take when I take my week off from the gym every 3 months.

Same, i don't get much benefit from cycling. Apparently takes 6 weeks for creatine levels to return to base levels.

Nah - I buy 5kg bag every two months, the rest of the stuff is cheap, takes about 15min to prepare all my food for the day, got it down to an art now, and don't need to measure weigh anymore...
Pre-Shake
Post-Shake
Cup of egg whites, cup of salsa, 1/3 cup of cheese
MRP & 30g almonds
250g chicken breast, 200g couscous, 3 cups spinnach
MRP & 30g almonds
Steak, 3 cups spinnach + balsamic vinegar.
40g cassein + 100g fat free milk + 100g water, blender, in the fridge for 2hrs - bedtime desert.

The above is about 4000 calories

People look at me funny walking around with a cooler box :p

The same every day? Dont you get bored?

Remember you get different kinds of people. Some people, like me, like consistency, so having the same food every day is great, and I know exactly what I will be eating without having to do too much planning. Where-as if I wanted to change what I eat every day...it would become a humongous task of epic proportions, and I just don't have the time for that. Also having a consistent routine every day, makes it easier to know, I wake up, I eat, I go train at the gym, I come back, shower then eat then off to work ect.

Strange I know, but I like it.

The diet is hard!
I'm so tired of chicken and bland chicken at times, I have tried cooking it every which way as well, find Braaied is the best.
But it is giving results, think I'll slack off come December holidays though as I think most people do.

Strange I know, but I like it.

It is nice having a routine that works and you can fall back on, that also saves time.

I started a thread on the fitocracy forum for preparing chicken - some had good ideas... I'll see if I can find the thread.

Book I was reading said you should make a week chart, where each meal is a point, if you miss a meal, minus a point, if you cheat, minus a point.... at the end of the week, add all your points and divide by the meal total, if you're not hitting 90%, you're not commited enough. (Assuming you eat 6+ meals a day) Obviously, the more you breakup your meals, the more you can scew the results - but this is based on 6-7 meals. (I have 8 a day)

Would love to see the recipes. I freaking hate chicken. But force the crap down day after day.

I feel sorry for you guys who hate chicken, it is one of my favorite meats, and can easily eat it every day. The white meat part of it for me is the very best, I don't always like the skin, depending on how it was made, though the skin is good if it was on a braai.

What I don't like, is fish and pork. It is the 2 kind of meats, I regularly refuse to eat. Chicken and red meats all the way for me.

I like chicken - done on the weber or something, but quick cook methods are vile, and I don't have time for slow cook methods
