Same :(

Festive season makes one lazy, and you eat less than optimal. Either way, I take it 1st week of Jan I will be back full steam.

Meh - tried today what I could bench for multiple reps for TEN sets in one session last year December, couldn't do one rep :( **** weight loss.

Is that to say then that you lost a substantial amount of muscle mass along with the fat lost?

In my experience that is not a given, though I guess not impossible.

I just have to stop eating properly for 2 days, and the amount I can bench press will fall by 20-30kg easy, squat will fall by 40kg even. Just because I don't have the energy to lift maximum weights.

Where can I buy some sick supps in Cape Town? All the pharmacies either stock USN or Evox (havnt tried Evox products but I have learned the hard way to stay away from USN)

Theres a store in Gardens which sells Muscletech but its so expensive (R600 for a 2kg bucket of high carb protein), my friends recommend cytosport products but I dont trust my friends with these things so much. Any advice?

I'm really looking for testosterone creatine and whey.

Dischem is probably your best bet. What brand are you looking for?

I guess non-local brands, then I can google them and find out if they are **** or not. The problem with local brands is that there has been minimal unbiased research/analysis done on these products.

Why not order stuff online from like lets say http://www.supplementworld.co.za/ ?

Hehe after the fun you guys had, some seriousness.

This looks like a good test booster if that is what you are after.

I would go with their suggested use of 3 weeks, don't do it for like 8 weeks like some people overseas are, you will learn the hard way, like I did. Now I haven't used this one specifically, I have used others, but this one looks good for multiple reasons.

1. It has liver support, and once you go oral stuff, you will need liver support, AND very important, stay off the alcohol, that includes at least 3 week after you stopped taking it.
2. It looks like it has some AI in it, which I could have made use of, though it doesn't look like very strong ones, but should be enough for this specific booster, especially if you only take it for the suggested 3 weeks only.
3. It got many good reviews, so that must be good, and Animal products have good reputation all over.

need ideas for quick to prepare, easy on the bank lunches.

need to start pre cooking chicken on a Sunday, think it will last refrigerated until a friday? or freeze rather?

I usually finish mine in that time frame. Fine for me. I cook mine in a bag though, maybe that keeps it nice and juicy :p

Also make loads of mince and freeze it.

Why is USN no good? I'm curious to know how do you find out, as you say you learned the hard way.

WoW buddy a bit on the defensive there for USN.

USN may be better than no-name brands, but they certainly ain't the best, and in my books, not good either.

As for I learned the hard way?
- USN protein, has a tendancy to make me blow up, and gas 24/7 is not a nice side affect
- USN protein, tastes like crap
- USN protein doesn't mix as easily as other brand's protein
- USN creatine didn't seem to work at all for me, ie. I saw zero improvement from it, and I read a lot on how to take it

And that is as far as my experience goes with USN, after those few mistakes, I never went back, and rather spent the extra buck to get something better.

Not defensive at all. I do not use any kind of supplement, so I wouldn't know which brand to go for ;) I'm just curious as to what makes people think that one is better than the other, other than taste and mixability of the powder. But I see that it gives you gas also LOL. :p Strange that other brands would not give you gas. I recall a friend saying that he also had that issue when he started using supplements (can't remember the brand, it was years back), but it went away after a while.
