Try actually listening to the clip, it has precious little to do with farming so I can only assume you haven't done that yet. Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, who cannot stay in business without a government subsidy of any kind should go and get fekked.

His entire argument falls flat because of that basic truth that he is unable to comprehend with the EU teet stuck in his mouth.
 
What I’d like to know is, was the brexit vote for same outcome that May is putting on the table now? It seems like brexit now means something else, and maybe there would need to be another vote to clarify things.

Pretty much every developed country in the world subsidizes it's agricultural sector. Farmers cannot survive and be profitable without such subsidies.

Yes, subsidies around the world are prevalent, they are still just there to hide inefficiencies. Trust me, we need to eat, farmers will profit in a world without subsidies, maybe not farmers from the UK / USA or ZA, but then if they can't survive without subsidies they are benefiting from tax money and passing on higher prices to the taxpayers i.e. fuuuuuk them!

Keep spewing what you've been fed (excuse the pun). If a nation wanted only to ensure food security whilst having the best prices for food available on the planet they'd prepare to ramp up local industry in the event it is required, NOT keep an inefficient industry going for decades just in case.

Hell if food security was the goal you could STILL push for efficiencies locally, but oh no, let's just piss away billions on subsidies because workers. What a gigantic crock of shyte, and you ate it all :D

No t&c's, no influence whatsoever from the EU.
