Yes, obviously NarrowMindFtw understands farming and it's economics in the UK far better than a 'lefty' farmer who actually farms in the UK. Duh!
Try actually listening to the clip, it has precious little to do with farming so I can only assume you haven't done that yet. Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, who cannot stay in business without a government subsidy of any kind should go and get fekked.

His entire argument falls flat because of that basic truth that he is unable to comprehend with the EU teet stuck in his mouth.

What I’d like to know is, was the brexit vote for same outcome that May is putting on the table now? It seems like brexit now means something else, and maybe there would need to be another vote to clarify things.

Brexiteers won't allow another vote because they know they'll lose this time.

This was the Brexit vote:

All the arguing now over what Leaving the EU actually means and entails wasn't what was voted on.

Pretty much every developed country in the world subsidizes it's agricultural sector. Farmers cannot survive and be profitable without such subsidies.

Forget that. Food security is an actual national security issue

Ah, good old central planning is always better than the free market hey? :crylaugh:

Yes, subsidies around the world are prevalent, they are still just there to hide inefficiencies. Trust me, we need to eat, farmers will profit in a world without subsidies, maybe not farmers from the UK / USA or ZA, but then if they can't survive without subsidies they are benefiting from tax money and passing on higher prices to the taxpayers i.e. fuuuuuk them!

You are treating Narrowband as if he actually has a clue what's going on, beyond what he reads on some internet sites.

You clearly don't understand food security (on a national basis), it's therefore fair to call you clueless.
Keep spewing what you've been fed (excuse the pun). If a nation wanted only to ensure food security whilst having the best prices for food available on the planet they'd prepare to ramp up local industry in the event it is required, NOT keep an inefficient industry going for decades just in case.

Hell if food security was the goal you could STILL push for efficiencies locally, but oh no, let's just piss away billions on subsidies because workers. What a gigantic crock of shyte, and you ate it all :D

Once again NarrowBand would like the world to know he is more intelligent and forward thinking than virtually every first world country in the world...

Those who voted to leave the EU want just that, to leave.

No t&c's, no influence whatsoever from the EU.

What May is working on does not even come close.

Is it?

Did people know that Brexit meant leaving the single market?

Two weeks before #EUref, only 22% of Leavers thought full access was at risk.

As per Dave's post:

Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the Single Market”

— Daniel Hannan

But what if the new plan is explained better and actually makes good sense, maybe it could get more support from the left ?

What does it have to do with "the left"? They're not the ones standing in the way. Corbyn has been anti-EU since forever.

How the hell do you prepare for weather events :wtf:

I just find it weird that a country can vote without fully understanding the implications.

So do many other people.

And to add to the voices on the leave side who apparently thought staying in the single market pre-referendum was a good idea is BoJo

Probably the most annoying misrepresentation by the remainers. If everyone just gets over the politics and butthurt they can very much negotiate meaningful trade deals with the EU and be part of the single market in that way.

there's a trump thread - you should check it out
