You missed the part where something like 80% of people polled said they would rather rejoin than have a hard border. So maybe the unionists are the 20% who voted no.

Again, not up to the DUP - they have to abide by the GFA.

And we’re back to terrorists again

And we’re back to terrorists again

Who said anything about terrorists? The people who live in NI and the R of I would rather reunite than have a hard border. What does that have to do with terrorism?

It won't be the threat of violence that would force the DUP to hold a referendum - it would be their legal obligation as per the GFA.

The DUP is just a political party, there are groupings of paramilitaries far to the right of them, like the Red Hand, Orange Volunteers, UDA, UVF etc.

The “terrorism” aspect doesn’t only apply on the Nationalist side.

Don't you have any relationship with important suppliers?

Do you even know what a trade deal is?
We have very important relationships with suppliers in the UK and EU.

If the Uk government themselves cannot articulate what the No deal scenario looks like, how are we to know?

The Gov.uk website currently does not have tariffs for steel products from EU after Brexit with No Deal.

I see cars have a tariff of 10 to 22%. Thank fxxk I just bought my car.

That's the part I think that most people miss... The paramilitary stuff is from both sides... And then you would also have the UK military in the middle... It's a no win situation really...

seems to escape you entirely.

Not at all, you just seem to make it out to be a Mountain impossible to climb which it's not. You are the Doom prophet here, I seem to see that the UK people can and will only get out on the other side stronger than ever before.

How were companies supposed to negotiate, if no one knew what type of deal would be in place?

It's called crossing your T's and dotting you I's.

Let's take that Norway example of yours. If you as a company trade with Norway, you would obviously as a business owner already researched and made sure that worse case scenario it will not affect your business. If it does, mitigate it as much as possible. I would have made 100% sure my dealings are cared for in each and every scenario. Worse case or no change at all.

I think it's extremely naive of you to think companies would have just sit back and wait to see what happens. I have NEVER in my life dealt with a company which is not prepared and planning at least 2 or 3 years ahead. I'm extremely confident the major players are prepared for any outcome and have ways to mitigate the impact.

Way to go not understanding what I said...

I have now changed my mind, can I please take back my exit vote and change it too remain, I need to get my nuts and bolts on time every time. How did we ever manage to lay railway tracks in the past without importing bolts on time.

Sure, find me a supplier in the UK who can manufacture 90mm diameter stainless steel threaded bars 4665mm long. I need 355 of them.

The UK economy has built itself on a system where freedom of movement with no tariffs, checkpoints and custom inspections has allowed entire Just In Time supply chain to be established between itself and the EU over a period of 46 years.

In just over 2 months, the way in which business and the way in which goods and services were supplied to and from the UK with the EU for 46 years stops.

Nah, they voted to eat fish at that restaurant so come hell or high water they will eat fish at that restaurant! you know the British: we've made our decision! to change our mind in the light of more information would be undemocratic.

Unless you're Boris Johnson and other Brexiteers - then you can flip flop as much as you want.

2000 respondents from 64mil?

So a sample size of 0.00003%?

:D:D:D

Apologies. I didn't realise there were still people who didn't understand how polling and surveys work.

Again, where did it say on the referendum ballot that the UK has to leave with a deal? And also by a large majority MPs voted to trigger Article 50 and the legal default is a no deal. Not our problem Remoaner MPs don't understand the implication of their own votes! Not quite as intelligent as they make out to be.

Remarkable how easily you swallow and accept bald-faced lies by "elites", just because they suit your desired outcome. :)

Have you tried contacting a few engineering shops? I can tap/thread something with a bit smaller diameter at my house. I'm sure someone has the right tool and can do it.

A quick google gave me like 5 steel suppliers in the UK. For such a big order I'm sure one of them will be able to make a plan.

We did.

It is due to the diameter and length. A french company and Belgium company were the only two who said they could do it confidently.
