The EU ony has a few net contributors, the UK being one of them. Loosing the UK will mean that between Germany, Sweden, France, Denmark, Austria, Finland and Italy, they will have to cough up more to cover the gap.
Macron is delusional if he thinks that paying the EU more when his country is going to support an increase in contributions.
