The ruling elite will benefit immensely with Brexit if you ask me....

The average man will suffer badly.
I'm beginning to suspect the wealthy elite that are pushing for no deal had that as their end goal the entire time. They stand to make a fortune off it. Short the pound, have money ready to move in on a collapsing housing market and mop up cheap shares.

You have a referendum result that has to be upheld, and you have a parliament that isn't interested in doing so. The same parliament is uninterested in calling for an election to get parliament to align with what the people want. Thus with no other option on the table, what else is there to do?
The referendum result does not have to be upheld, but parliament is willing to carry out leaving the EU. An election can only be held if leaving the EU is put on hold, but given the UKs voting system any new parliament could not be said to be any more representative of the people than the currently sitting one, so it is a pointless exercise. If anyone actually cared about aligning with what the people want they'd have another referendum on leaving the EU. That would settle the matter. The ballot could include a couple of leave options and a couple of remain options (e.g. remain if no deal is the only alternative). Whatever they are they should be worded carefully. Everyone who has an opinion could vote. Those who don't care can stay at home. It's a straight vote, so none of the distortions introduced by the general election voting system. If the result was still leave then no-one could argue against it and there'd be a clear indication of whether leaving without a deal has popular support. Frankly if the leave side is so confident of their popular support they should be champing at the bit to have another referendum.

I think he means "dole", as in government handout to lazy people.
No we call government handouts to lazy people tax breaks for the rich.

Lol. "The rich" don't owe you or any government anything. Stop being jealous of their success and spreading socialist propaganda.

If nothing else, BoJo is making sure there's no boredom or normality in government.

Boris Johnson referred to police watchdog over Jennifer Arcuri claims

The prime minister has been accused of using his position to benefit Jennifer Arcuri, an American businesswoman.

Boris Johnson has been referred to a police watchdog in connection with allegations a businesswoman received favourable treatment when he was mayor of London.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been asked to assess whether the prime minister should be investigated for the criminal offence of misconduct in public office.

In a statement, the Greater London Authority (GLA) said a "conduct matter" had been recorded against Mr Johnson over claims that Jennifer Arcuri received public money and privileged access to foreign trade missions while he was mayor.

Was watching a completely unrelated YT video when the creator said (tongue in cheek):

"There's very little that's actually British about the British. All of our food is from Europe, our royal family are Germans who married Danes and Greeks. We're all descendants from the Romans, the French, Swedes and Norwegians (and others). Yet for some bizarre reason we want to leave Europe. We are Europe! You couldn't find a more European country anywhere"

Found that pretty amusing.

Ah yes, Brighton. The only place in the entire UK to elect someone from the lunatic Green Party. Love the environment but promote unlimited immigration...

Onto other news: Brexit: DUP endorses Boris Johnson's offer to the EU

Also in today's news, the Shadow Home Secretary stood in for Jezza and completely forgot to ask a question at PMQs. The absolute state of Labour!

At long last Johnson has actually come up with an offer to the EU. Talk about leaving things till the last minute!
Can you explain how it differs from the backstop?
It's not called a backstop there boris created it all and thought of it cos he is that good.

I have not studied it in depth quite yet (it literally was announced just now) but early reports suggest that NI and the rest of the UK will be treated separately, with NI still in the EU's regulatory orbit for some time, but based on consent of the Northern Irish assembly.

So exactly what the DUP stated they would never accept?

And NI gets to vote every 4 years if they wish to continue this way  Will be interesting to see the response

Apparently money talks and never-accept walks!
The government is also promising a "New Deal for Northern Ireland", with financial commitments to help manage the changes.

Perhaps that is intentional - a deal that is worse than no deal, since we know that no deal is what Johnson's handlers actually want. This way they can at least claim to have tried and blame the EU if it doesn't go through

No one is talking about Brexit. The left are over reacting ...

Meanwhile at one of the busiest railways stations in London - Waterloo.

Everywhere you look. Brexit.
