"Big Ben can't bong" sounds weird or dirty taken out of context.

Imagine your mate sits down next to you at the pub. He takes a long pull from his pint, sits it down. Looks at you, eyes downcast, mouth a tight line across his face.

He says, "Mate, I just got some bad news. Big Ben can't bong."

Am I the only one who finds those 4 words bizarre?

Fair point. I think a lot of people keep quiet (unless anonymously online) in fear of being castigated and vilified.

But Farage is right in that post, Brexit is a victory for the people. But unfortunately, they have been fooled by the establishment.... on behalf of the establishment.

That's pretty much the sentiment of the recent election: the votes that gave the Tories the majority came from old Labour strongholds who hated the Conservatives, but were eventually equally as pissed at Labour for becoming Far-Left, being anti-Brexit and anti-Britain. So they voted for the party that would get them what they wanted.

I do.

I work with some incredibly liberal people, Jeremy Corbyn supporters. They have no idea that I voted Tory in the last election.

Even some of my family, I am not sure I could ever tell them.

The trouble is that politics has become so emotional. So divisive. We can't respect each other's opinions anymore.

Indeed. Your average working class Brit is left of centre, proud to be British and very anti-Tory. Corbyn took all 3 away from them (making them vote for Tory as a protest) along with their pride by misjudging the strength of their patriotism, and he ultimately paid for it.

Agree 100%. Wait and see the trouble that is brewing in Scotland. It will explode soon.

I should add, voting Tory goes against the hard wiring in my dna. I just couldn't do it if my life depended on it :p

I last went a few years ago, too. Think they started charging people to go see the fireworks the following year. Also, it's ****ing freezing out that time of year. And yeah, lack of facilities isn't great.

if you mean Anti-Social media as it's completely the opposite of what people spew on Social media, then yes... you are correct. Think of it as the new anti-establishment. People against this whole extreme left political views, sick of trying to please everyone at the cost of one self.
