EU is to Blame for the Latest Brexit Crisis

Boris Johnson has urged Conservative MPs to back his Plan to Override Part of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.

German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz was out with another EU bluff on Saturday: No-Deal Brexit Would Hurt Britain More Than EU.

Obvious Bluff
If "Europe could deal with this with no serious consequences", then why would it care?
The fact of the matter is German exports to the UK would crash in the absence of a deal.
But how did we get to this point?

Tory MP quits government over plan to break international law

Rehman Chishti says he can’t support legislation in its current form

Announcing his resignation as the PM’s envoy, the normally loyal Mr Chishti said: “I can’t support Internal Market Bill in its current form, which unilaterally break UK’s legal commitments.
“As an MP for 10 years and former barrister, values of respecting rule of law and honouring one’s word are dear to me.”

The resignation is significant because it is the first from the government over the issue, though the civil service head of Whitehall’s legal department quit last week after refusing to go along with the bill.

Conversley, the trading licence for London institutions dealing with EU banks has been extended for another 18 months. They need to wash their trillions somewhere, and there's still no better place in Europe to do it than right here.
 
Because the Tories are to afraid to act on their mandate. As neo conservatives they are good at one thing, and that's keeping things mostly the same and spending their time do diversity training and writing poems about white privilege. Quite disappointing.

Are you talking about some alternate universe? Sure they don't want to change their own privilege, but they don't give 2 fscks about anyone else, certainly not minorities or entertaining whimsical liberals. It's the Tory way. Always has been.

Labour have moved ahead of the Conservative Party for the first time since Boris Johnson became prime minister, an opinion poll has indicated.

The survey by Opinium for The Observer newspaper gave Labour a three-point-lead over the Tories, with 42%, compared to 39%.
