Ronald I need to know what will happen to my webphone when I connect the new modem? I will only be using it as a SIP phone with a VOIP account from Connection Telecom. Do I need to move one of the modems to a month to month account.

This will be my setup

Silver Surfer connected to Netgear Wireless router (currently the webphone is connected to the router)
Webphone not connected to any router or PC and only used as a VOIP phone
Batman connected to Netgear Router at my brother's house

iBurst SIP servers are still accessible even when you are capped. So the best VoIP solution is an entry level package such as the Wireless Starter.
 
My new modem just arrived and left again :( Because my account is still in my mothers name I need a copy of her I.D book before I can take delivery. Now I have to wait a whole extra hour for the delivery guys to come back :(
 
1mbps modem vs. 2mbps modem

A comparison of my 1mbps modem vs. my new silver surfer. The 1mbps modem is attached to an external antenna and has 100% signal, the 2mbps modem is not attached to any external antenna and has a signal strength of 90%. The tests were run at the same time for a more accurate comparison.

Speedtest:

1mbps Down - 0.23mbps Up - 0.13mbps
2mbps Down - 0.86mbps Up - 0.35mbps

Pingtest:

1mbps Ping - 102 Jitter - 110
2mbps Ping - 78 Jitter - 55

Yeah, my current coverage is crap (not the word I want to use) as well and I am looking for something else now.

BTW, if you are using FF4, right click on the quick reply box and click languages and click add dictionary and then add the SA one. ;)
 
2mbps I was just getting really terrible speeds yesterday :/ Last night my downloads were running at 250KB/s which I believe is 2mbps.

Mine is also legally purchased via my DSTV premium subs. Only problem is that DSTV will only be airing them in 18 months time. :D
 
Lol, it's mostly torrent released updates for blizzard games and Linux distros. Busy downloading all of the DVD's for the latest Debian release :D.

Just had one of my torrents uploading at 350KB/s :wtf: That's over three times the speed at which it is currently downloading :confused:

okay so i finaly get my answer as to why my after hours usage was so high, i got a call from iburst now i acording to the contract i origanly signed was on the old free VAS and only now did it expire, i didnt bother renwing since 5gb is enough
I feel like such a dumbass, I could have beaten you mental-tree.
