The Cannabis Thread #2

Rather buy a device like this: https://www.vaperite.co.za/product/vapor-storm-puma-baby-80w/ and an 18650 battery, then just buy the cartridges from thc vapes. Go for the 95% cartridges. The device will let you tell if your cartridge is ok before you fire it up, the resistance should be between 1 and 2 ohms. You can then adjust the wattage to get the best vape. I use about 8w.
@GavinHRC Thank you for the advice
Hey @Kintamas

Why not give up inhaling entirely and try edibles with THC? I find eating cannabis works in many beneficial ways and can easily be dosed for daily use. Vaping is faster and more effective and you will always need to be purchasing cartridges. Or make them yourself.
@Farmerj Thank you I think I'm definitely going to try edibles before I buy a pen

Glad to hear. If you are interested in my girlfriends recipe take a look here. Its cheap and easy to make at home and all you need is coconut oil and plant matter. I find it tastes nice with most things and you can get the consistency of potency right after a couple tries at making the cannabis coconut infusion .This can be use as a base ingredient for your edibles.

Ingredients
500ml Coconut oil
80 grams of cannabis flower

Cooking Instructions
I am using an electric frying pan and keeping it on the lowest setting. I have not decarboxylated the flower, but you are welcome to decarb the flower if you like. I cut up the flower very roughly using scissors ( increase the surface area for cannabinoid extraction ) and mixed it in with the warmed coconut oil. I will leave it on the pan for about 3 hours. Dont let it boil and stir it every 30 minutes. Full Recipe

I always thought cutting the weed finely increased the surface area?

I guess that would work for smoking it, but extracting the THC with coconut you dont have to worry about chopping it finely.

looking for some outdoor harlequin to try before I order a bigger batch with mustafa. Also read its like the perfect weed for people with anxiety(not to heavy) if anyone can share their experiences.

I think the Harlequin is a high CBD strain, so no actual high? Why would you do that! Why not grow your own? I believe CBD does work very well for anxiety too.

"Studies on animals are so far incomplete, but they do show promise in terms of treating anxiety, particularly social anxiety disorders. It is the focus on social anxiety disorders that seems to be the focal point of how CBD oil can be effective. Small studies have demonstrated that the oil is effective for those who suffer from social anxiety disorder, causing a calming effect. However, such studies need to be expanded before they can be accepted in the medical community." Link

What's the going rate for CBD oil these days and does anyone know of some direct suppliers of CBD oils so we don't have to pay the retail markup?

How much is it from Mustafa?

You welcome to talk, I get direct from suppliers, locally made oils. Funny enough I just started loading them to my site this past week. Tinctures, salves, oils and more. I can give you a big discount from the retail prices. I should be done by this weekend and will send you a pm.

Who is Mustafa? I see his name spread across this topic?

Harlequin is by far my favourite strain and it does indeed get you high - it's just a different kind of high, and for most people it does not cause any paranoia and helps with anxiety.
The ratio of CBD to THC for Harlequin is on average 5:2, so it does contain THC, the CBD just balances it out a bit to make the high more mellow. Some phenotypes (variations) of Harlequin however have up to 1:1 CBD to THC (they get you more high).

There are also "pure" CBD strains out there (and ones that have so much more CBD than THC that it does not get you high) - for these look at Charlotte's Web or AC/DC.
But in my personal experience, CBD itself does very little "active" helping in terms of mental issues, such as anxiety - for that you need a bit more THC, such as what Harlequin provides but YMMV.

Mustafa's previous Harlequin batches have been quite good, but they lean more towards the 1:1 ratio rather than the 5:2 ratio - they get me more "high" than the Harlequin I grow myself.
I'd still recommend it though - it's still a very smooth high overall (I sometimes prefer it).

I've also found that the high from Harlequin is smoother when vaping vs when smoking (unless you use a bong of some kind).

Also, Harlequin is a VERY easy strain to grow, so if you find it helpful, I'd recommend getting some seeds and just growing your own :)

Just wanted to acknowledge your great response and feedback on this. Really helpful on helping with the collective knowledge and sharing personal experiences.

Good man.

Please do pm me when the CBD oils are available.

Does anyone know where I can get Harlequin in Cape Town? I keep hearing about it but I've never tried it

I think you will find that growing it yourself is the most rewarding and cost effective way of trying Harlequin. Check out cannabist.co.za, they are CT based seedbank. Not to sure where you would buy flower from.

Hey, I think it's been asked before. Can anyone point me to an online booze vendor that delivers in DBN? Got a birthday coming up and would not mind some whisky!

What are you on about? Stores can't sell alcohol with the ban in place. This is the cannabis thread.
