The Cannabis Thread

It was quite an interesting debate. I posted a question about places like the 420 Cafe and the Couple's response was rather interesting: Yes, they agree with the activism such establishments punt but they are not in support for the payoffs and bribes paid to law-enforcement so that the shop can do business unhindered, compounded with the risk patrons put upon themselves with possibly facing arrest after visiting the establishment.

There were some trolls in the conversation feed as well with which they had humorous banter.

What is the difference between the various plants? I notice some are priced higher than others. Is it to do with the quality?

I'm no expert but I think the price/gram is mainly due to the rarity of the strain, content of CBD/THC and the process/cost that lead up to the cultivation of the strain.

Thanks, sounds logical.

Yeah sorry that I cannot be more specific on it. Perhaps sites such as Leafly can provide more insight. All I know is that a little bit of the Bubba Kush you buy on 420 Monkeys hits considerably harder than the Indica strains I get from my local weedman but the high is much more enjoyable with a gentle come-down. Definitely worth the extra money IMO.

Anyone here had Drug test at work yet?

Should be interesting.
I have had several blood and urine tests for insurance purposes but not once has cannabis/marijuana come up as a finding. Even on smoking tests (I only smoke weed) nothing adverse has come back.

I reckon that I want to buy one of these home drug-testing kits from Clicks/Dischem and see what the results are.

Excellent website for explaining various strains in detail, as well as the comparative charts.

How does one differentiate between a gentle and hard come-down?

I had to quit marijuana. It made me extremely violent and paranoid (Tried both sativa and indica) and replacing furniture and electronics weekly became too costly.

How often were you using it?

I find that some of the Indica strains I get from my weedman will leave me occasionally irritable for a while as I come off the high; to get over that I would often take a little top-up smoke if it affects my mood. Rarely I would not sleep very well but that varies widely so I cannot conclusively attribute it to the weed effect. The next morning I may also feel a slightly slowish, feeling 100% again at around 10:00 but it again varies and is inconsistent. I get the same with the Sativa strains as well so it may be down to just the chemical situation of my body at the time.

Now with Bubba Kush I have never felt negative effects afterwards. The come-down is usually accompanied by intense feelings of being content as well as sleepiness so I do not take it as a daytime hit. I sleep like a king.

I would say that the random negative effects with expensive weed is limited to non-existent whereas you might find an odd crappy after-high experience with the run-of-the-mill stuff.
