Bad News guys :

International Download/Upload counts towards the cap... okay, so you're not going :eek: yet.... Local Download/Upload ALSO counts towards the cap.... okay, so you're not going :eek: yet.... After the cap is in place, both international and local will be capped to 64k :eek:

Apparently theres alot of packages to cater for whomever, hopefully one of them will be "international download ONLY"

Or else I feel strongly that we need to send out that fliers idea I had
 
heh heh! I thought as much... but 64K is STILL faster then the '128' i had with Sentech and that was one of the many reasons why I switched to iBurst... I do hope that local will become uncapped and uncounted though. Time is the teller of many things.

About that 64k ...

Does it mean all capped users on iBurst will be thrown in a pool that shares 64kbps ?
 
Yea, apparently it's 64k per user and not like Telkom's 56k per everyone that is capped, so I was promised it will be very useable.

vowthorn, I'll race you to see who can be capped the fastest :D

Anyway, the official reace will start at 00h01 on the 1st of April 2005, noone vs vowthorn, who can get capped the fastest, and let us know what iburst's like when capped...The prize will be....ummmm, still gotta think bout that one:D
 
oh i got it, the winner can laugh at the looser:D for using up his months supply of bandwidth, and not getting any recognition for it:(....just a thought, prob a bad one at that

dude I guarantee I get capped first, I keep this box downloading crap 24/7 I do in the region of 6 - 8 GB a day, but I bet i'm also the first to buy more bandwith
 
/me waits for the howls of anguish as the "gauranteed" 64k becomes "beft effort" becomes unuseable.
 
yes you have every right to be sceptical, especially if you were dumb enough to sign up to sentech, however harth, iBurst have fullfilled all thier promises so far and just about everyone is happy with speeds now, so if they can do that with 3000 users and no cap then I think they can do it with 1000 and a cap. I love that adsl users are bitter towards iBurst.
 
I woudlnt call it dumb... I would call it insane... besides sentech ruled for about two months... then it just sucked... BIG TIME. I wouldnt say dumb for signing up... i would say dumb for believeing they would fix it...
