The circus that is MWeb

Well, literally like 12 hours after posting my reply I get throttled.

So, MWEB, you might be a multi-million rand company, but I'm cancelling. Enjoy the 30-days notice as after that you won't be getting another dime out of me.

Did 77GB on a 1MB uncapped and got throttled.

Afrihost is looking pretty good.
 
At least MWEB did my cancellation properly.... didnt have to come here to fight.
 
You know, since you guys are leaving Mweb my service has been better than ever :D

I'm convinced that Mweb monitors the type of traffic before throttling you, a few months ago I did close to 200 GB on a 1Mbps line without throttling. P2P traffic was Skype and that's about it, the vast majority was Steam.

Run like Forrest and never look back. The grass is definitely greener on the other side if you happen to still be with Mweb :D I'm so delighted to have left this ISP. Good Riddens!!!!!!!!! Stoked to be outta jail now! :) oh yessss it was that bad!

Lol happy for you mate, all this best! Hope hershaw doesn't start getting greedy once again and then starts shaping you to the ground and then throttles you. You will wish you weren't ever born when you experience throttling. It's truly that bad! :D

Well done on finally making the move sir, you will be great-full and have no regrets. Good bye Mweb
 
Personally, I have never had an issue with them, so why move? If I stopped using any company that ever pissed off its customers I'd have to go back to the dark ages and live on a farm being completely self sustaining. Until they piss on my grass, I see no reason to move. Plus, the 300 MB AlwaysOn access per month is handy :p

Haha sorry I just had very difficult times with them and they treated me like an "abuser" on there network but what is the point of having the Internet if you can't use it to its full capability hey. I'm glad you happy with them. How long have you been with them for and what package you on? :)

Ok I was also on a 1 Mbps Premium Uncapped account. Glad you haven't been having any issues with them so far. They throttled me so many times... Got so tired of it.

Glad I moved on to an unthrottled, truely uncapped ISP at a better price with less nonsense ... :D
 
I wonder how many people complaining were downloading every torrent available? It's my only explanation for not being throttled. I buy my games, I don't really watch movies, I get my music from YouTube.
