The Craft Beer Thread

For real dude.

On the way home I thought nah don't bother going to get more beer there's some wine and a Birkenhead Lager in the fridge. Get home, pop the beer in the freezer...open it and there's no carbonation at all. Ugh...cold flat beer. Tastes fine, but my tongue needs fizzy tickles :(. Damn you!
 
Wasn't always like that. I loved the bone crusher but I think the brewery, i.e the contract brewer, changed the recipe and now it's less enjoyable.

There's not a lot of local brewers that do "pure" and "traditional" Witbier and finding good German brews is also quite a mission.

Yup. Alcohol content is down. Used to be bottle conditioned. Used to be awesome...

Thanks morkhans for the updates and reviews. The instore "guide" knows a lot as well.

Hertog Jan Grand Prestige.

Full flavoured bitter sweet beer. Very heavy. Kind of a witblits/ alcohol aftertaste. Wont be able to drink 2.
